Equipment problem #1

On Thursday 27/7/2024 5:00pm-6:00pm, Acura Rdx abruptly started to slow down. When I press the accelerator, the car will not accelerate. Finally, my car came to an complete stop. Then I turned on hazard sign and changed the gear on p from d. After that I started car. The car started normally and then I drove to my destination. I also experienced the similar issue in may, 2024.

Equipment problem #2

On 3/8/2024 while traveling around 70 mph on interstate 95 approximately 30 miles south of florence, SC, I heard vehicle glass explode. The loud pop nearly caused my wife, driving at the time, to veer violently to the left lane. I requested her to pull over slowly so I could determine what happened. I looked around the entire vehicle and finally found the sunroof glass had imploded. There were no vehicles around us at the time of the implosion and we didn't see or hear any objects hit the vehicle (I. E. Rock). Also, I looked over the entire vehicle to see if a rock impact or something had hit the car, but couldn't find any evidence of an impact by an object. This is a severe defect and should be considered for safety recall.

Equipment problem #3

Vehicle began hesitating when starting, but not all of the time. One day after refueling it would not start. Lights on the dashboard flashed and flickered and the keyless start button made a clicking sound, but the vehicle would not start. Vehicle was towed to the nearest mechanic. The next morning the mechanic started the vehicle and found nothing wrong. Mechanic kept the vehicle for a couple days and the problem reoccurred. Vehicle will not start. Computer diagnostics shows the 2018 Acura Rdx control unit part number 38320-tx4-a31 is faulty. This part is backordered and likely will not be available in the near future. The intermittent starting failure poses a safety risk and could leave a driver stranded.

Equipment problem #4

While traveling on interstate at 7:30am there was a sudden blowout explosion of the sunroof glass. There were no other vehicles around they may have thrown debris. Vehicle has been examined by automobile glass shop.

Equipment problem #5

Driving northbound on I-17 in phoenix, approximately 70-75 mph with limited traffic. The sunroof exploded. Acura refused to repair the faulty sunroof and I was referred to insurance.

Equipment problem #6

Upon acquiring the vehicle, I immediately noticed that the car makes me sick. The issue was with the strong fumes caused by artificial leather. On few occasions I felt so dizzy that I was unable to drive, as it would be unsafe. At least one more person also felt sick in this car. Obviously, when a vehicle makes a person sick, it is a safety issue. The driver cannot properly operate the vehicle. All convectional methods, such as ventilation and deep cleaning, did not improve the toxic fumes. I contacted Acura with no avail. They opened a case # 08920583. The case manager April stated that the number of people who may get sick from this material was very small and therefore Acura was not going to mitigate the problem. Acura is apparently aware that there are some people, who may become sick while driving their vehicles.

Equipment problem #7

Tl-the contact owns a 2018 Acura Rdx. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked on an incline running. The contact exited the vehicle an opened the tailgate and the alarm went off. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact went back to the driver side of vehicle while the door was ajar the vehicle moved and knocked the contact down and rolled the contact over. The vehicle stopped when it was on level ground. The occupant sustained injuries to ribs and pelvic fractures medical attention was provided. The air bags did not deploy. There was no fire or crash. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer prime Acura located at 395 providence highway, westwood, and MA 02090 (508) 921-1900 where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and requested to inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was 6,000. Ap.
