Steering Problems of Acura RDX - part 2

I purchased a 2016 Acura Rdx with 995 miles on 1/21/2016. On the drive home, and several times since (the latest being earlier this week) while making a left turn at slow speed (after stopping or slowing) the vehicle "dies" and I keep pushing on the accelerator and after 20 seconds or so, it "grabs" and I can continue on. Current mileage on the vehicle is 1739. I called gettel Acura in sarasota FL and was told that the vehicle has to learn my driving habits and my driving style. Per gettel service manager, this should be self-correcting at about 2000 miles. (?).

The power steering jammed up about 11 times during a 1 mile stretch of road - the driving conditions were perfectly normal - traffic and I had to restart the vehicle 11 times! then on the highway it again jammed up and I almost got hit by a truck since I was taking an exit.

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Acura Rdx. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn as the eps warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the eps unit and the power steering gear box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,559.

My new 2013 Rdx caught on fire at my garage in the day after hurricane sandy. Acura and auto insurance company(progressive) insists that the car caught on fire by flooding. However, car battery and engine are fine. Only front seat, dashboard, and navigation system were burned and the fire damaged my garage too. Furthermore it does not make sense that flooding caused fire at all. I showed my Rdx to Acura technicians, but silent. Isn't it a defect of new model?.

The entire steering rack needed to be replaced due to premature worn seals. This of course is not under warranty anymore. Apparently, the same seals are used in the 2004-2008 tl that have a TSB for this (TSB 08-016).

After I drove my 2007 up my driveway on a hill, parked, and got out, the car began moving back out in reverse damaging the car door and garage wall. This car also will accelerate on its own even while on the brakes. My dealership and Acura was unwilling to address the concern.
