While driving on the highway, without warning the tire tread separated from the rim causing danger to myself. Luckily I was able to pull to the side of the highway to await assistance. State police was called and the car was eventually towed to the dealership. The entire tire literally separated from the rim. Tire size: 235 /60 r 18.

I have repeated and ongoing problems with brand new michelin tires losing traction, especially on wet roads. This happens every time I have to pull out onto a highway. It also happens less frequently on dry roads. I have spoken with the new car dealership where I bought the vehicle and with michelin tire customer service people. The tires are the michelin primacy mxm4 p235/60r/18 all-season tires. Michelin told me that "slippage", (which I call traction,) is not covered by their warranty. It is extremely distubing to me to see a tire company, especially michelin, to say that the tractions capabilities of one of their new tires is not something they will stand behind.

Michelin primacy mxm4 p235/60r18 tires with a little over 13000 miles that came new on 2013 Acura Rdx. Would not stop on a slight down hill road that was damp. Starting stopping at a safe distance but all they would do was slide and skid. Stopped finally with front of car slightly in oncoming lane. Just as I got stopped a dump truck went across in that lane right in front of me. Not the first time I have had traction problems but the first time I almost got in serious trouble. These tires are not safe on wet or damp roads.
