The contact's son managed to coast the vehicle onto the shoulder as the power steering and the brake functionality returned. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it remained for several weeks. The contact was initially informed that the alternator needed to be replaced; however, the contact was later informed that the failure was related to the battery. The dealer then informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure and the vehicle was towed back to his residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact was able to feel the failure more while driving higher speeds. The failure occurred without warning. Acura of orange park (7200 blanding blvd, jacksonville, florida) stated that the brakes needed to be resurfaced. Prior to the failure, the tires were replaced.
