I have 2005 Rsx type s, and within past 2. 5 years I had circuitry related to the airbags passenger and driver failed. At 64,000 miles passenger detection sensor in the seat failed and was replaced when srs light came on, at 87,584 miles airbag control unit failed and airbag not functioning light came on. 2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2003 Acura RSX

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

The contact owns a 2003 Acura Rsx. She stated that the airbag srs light remains illuminated at all times. The srs light was inspected and reset however, the problem continued to occur. The contact also stated that the opds unit needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 80,000. The VIN and engine size was unavailable. Returned usps, 2nd attempt made 07/06/07 failed . 10/17/07.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2002 Acura RSX

Failure Date: 09/11/2006

: the contact stated the srs indicator light illuminated causing the air bags to deactivate. There was a service bulletin released by the manufacturer (TSB # 02-015) indicating the failure was due to a faulty occupant position detection sensor unit. The service dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
