This vehicle was bought brand new in September 2006, in the past two weeks the dashboard has started cracking open where the passenger side airbag would deploy. The cracks have been getting progressively worse and the dealership is saying I may or may not receive assistance for the repairs which cost approximately $2,400. This is completely unacceptable for a 5 year old vehicle and they seem to want to blame it on the hot florida temperatures even though I have owned approximately 7 other Honda/Acura products in florida and never had this issue before.
Dashboard cracked overnight where the passenger airbag releases. In the sun it seems to close up. When the car is cooled, the crack opens up.
2006 hands free link stopped working after less than 5 years. To replace the part, Acura charges approximately $650+tax. I have heard that the dealer will replace the part for $700. . . . Parts and labor. The laboe involved in minimal. Also, to diagnose the problem, the dealer want $110. There are many others out there who have a similar problem, as I researched this issue via the internet. Acura should provide a recall or replacement of this part an no cost.
The dash suddenly had a crack in center area. The car has only 4 years.
2006 Acura Tl no longer fit to be driven because of the manufacturer's defective heating and cooling system breeding toxic mold and the procedures done to the car trying to repair it. The consumer stated the dealer sprayed some chemicals in the vehicles to try and mask the problem.
