Dashboard Crack problems of the 2007 Acura TL

Cracked dashboard.

Dashboard is cracked, affecting passanger airbags. Many 3rd gen Tl's have this problem, which needs to be fixed please! happens overnight, and worsens. A defect from Acura.

2007 Acura Tl. Consumer writes in regards to dashboard crack near passenger side air bag. The dealership quoted the consumer a price of $989. 00 to replace the dashboard.

The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tl. The contact stated that the dashboard started to crack on the passenger's side. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the mechanic stated that the entire dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 60,000. The current mileage was 93,000.

I recently purchased a 2007 Acura Tl type s with 42378 miles on the odometer. Upon getting home, I found out that the dashboard was cracked in three (3) places. Fortunately for me, the car was still under warranty so I took it in to Acura dealership to get the dashboard replaced. While at the dealership I found some other customers with the same issue. I later found out that this was common problem with the Acura Tl especially in the southern states. Another issue I'm experiencing is with the 3rd gear which I also found out to be common with the Acuras. Sometimes while driving, the stick would not go into 3rd gear smoothly or sometimes it just pops out of the 3rd gear. The third and final complaint that I have read about and starting to experience is rattling. The interior cabin of the car though quiet from exterior noise seems to be making some noise of its own from the inside starting with the windows. I hope someone at Acura is aware of these problems and is dealing with the issue. Beside that, the car seems to be a fine piece of steel.
