Yea the vehicle was purchased September 2019 @185k miles and started having problems around April 2020 @ 250k miles my , this month after driving for about an hour you could say , my car over heated and the battery and electricity sensors and such stopped working which causes all my lights to come on my dash including my engine light so I hope the battery doesn't cause my car to barely switch gears or idle unlock the gasket has blown but I don't even drive fast so pls help , the reservoir was shooting water and steam and I looked up recalls recently and saw that there were 2 on these so I was hoping could I get a replacemt or repairmant ? I'm going through the moving process so I'd now some type of transportation please.

Car runs great but will skip out of gear and not move. Changed tranny fluid and filters and it was good for a couple days and started all over again had to call a tow truck to pick me up on the busy freeway. Now car will not even shift from park and when I use the side release button and put car in r it rolled forward. Dealer says there is no recall on my vehicle but there is in others like mine and same problems. 3000 dollar transmission and it's to much to fix so it's scrap metal???.

Power steering eps failure right around 60,000 miles my Acura Tl's power steering eps failed. The car was driving ~45mph on a straight 2-lane highway when the indicator lights went off and the power steering failed. After pulling over to the side of the road and letting the car sit for several hours, it started up with no issues. The next day, upon starting the vehicle, the power steering went out and never returned. This failure caused a chain of events (according to my Acura licensed mechanic) which caused failures in and eventual replacement of the rack & pinion, eps sensors, steering computer module, and multiple other sensors. The total bill was $4,200 for repair. Since this incident I received a notice from Acura that this is a known problem, and the warranty has been extended. This would have been good to know prior to the issue (the car is 6 years old) and prior to having to pay $4,200 and be stranded without a car for 10 days during repairs. Reading through reviews and complaints online, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident. I have made a claim with Acura for reimbursement of my expenses, and hope they do the correct thing and pay for the repairs. Invoice for the repairs (which were completed) is attached.
Well my air bag sensor, my psa light and my tpsa light is on. All dealing with faulty sensors and electrical issues. And my air bag sensor will come on once in awhile, saying it's off. And from the Acura Tl community 2003 to 2006 have horrible transmissions. Everybody I know and talk to that have a Tl that falls into those years, have had their transmissions either rebuilt or replaced. And nobody ever talks about it. I want to make it known that these vehicles have one of the worst transmissions other than the Honda oddessy but Honda has a recall on there transmissions. So hopefully one day Acura can do the same.
Car battery drains itself too quick. Car electrical system draws current too much. After 3-4 days park without driving battery dead. It won't start. Battery is very good condition.

Brake pedal feels spongy and reduces stopping power due to air in the brake lines requiring replacement of the vsa modulator. (2004-06). I researched this online, after noticing my breaks were soft and less effective over the past few times I drove. They want to charge 2. 6k to repair the module, despite them clearly having issues in the past. I'm hoping you will issue a recall so we can get reimbursed for this defective product which is a safety issue few can afford.
Takata recall and electrical system: air bag deployed right side of car electrical system malfunctioning right side before the crash. Because of deployment of right side air bag it caused the driver side air bag to be deployed. Car was exiting highway ramp when airbag deployed. Documented ins estimate avail.

Gear/transmission lock up while driving. Vehicle stalled and could not switch gear back to drive. Vehicle failed emissions twice but was passed 3rd time without exemption or waiver. This vehicle has been discontinued due to the on going unfixable issues, why wasn't it blacklisted or label a category a car? these Acura's are dangerous and shouldn't even be allowed on the road! NHTSA doesn't even specify if the vehicle was fixed after the recalls- obviously they weren't because the car was poorly made and is unfixable. We need justice.
Takata recall. After taking my car in to the Acura of orange park FL to have airbag system checked related to the recall the repair was made and a week later the indicator light came on again. I called the dealership to advise and was told to bring it back which I did and was told the recall repair was made. However, the switch is faulty and needed to be replaced for a cost. I then called the corporate office and was told to return it at which time I was told that isn't covered in the recall. Now I don't know if the airbag system indicator is accurate or not because the light comes on and off daily as I drive.
The car suddenly started to slow down. The gears started engaging and disengaging. Next day the autozone shop used the scanner and found codesp0722-p0780 the cuuse of CA problem. The car riuns for a few minutes and then dies, after cooling period of about 2-4 minutes it starts runs for about 6-8 minutes and dies again. Three days ago the transmission repair shop also took on highway and had the same problem. He then tried to use the scanner to get the codes and. The scanner would not read anything. Thus at his advice I have to replace with new reman transmission coding about $4,650. In addition the dashboard showed tears the last summer. Called Acura and the said they had no recall on Acura Tl 2006 car and also about tearing of dash board.
I was driving at about 45-50 mph when the brakes suddenly came on very hard without me touching the brake peddle and the car slowed very rapidly (in a straight line) almost to a stop. The brakes were then released as suddenly as they had been applied before the car came to a complete stop. The pulses from the antilock braking system (abs) during the braking period indicated the brakes were being applied rather than a problem with the automatic transmission. I pulled off the road to check that the transmission was still functional and that no unusual fault lights were being displayed on the dash. Since everything appeared normal I resumed my journey only to have the same spontaneous braking phenomenon occur five or six times over the next 2-3 miles. Fortunately I was close to an Acura dealer so I drove the car at 40 mph with emergency flashers on to the Acura dealer (about 3 miles away). Driving the car at 40 mph did not prompt a recurrence of these spontaneous braking episodes over this distance. The Acura dealer diagnosed a faulty accelerator position sensor and replaced the sensor assembly. There has been no recurrence of these spontaneous braking episodes over the 39 miles I have driven the car since the accelerator position sensor was replaced. I consider this spontaneous braking problem with my 2004 Acura Tl as extremely serious. Had a bus, truck, large SUV or pick up truck been following closely behind me when these braking episodes occurred I think it quite likely a serious and fatal accident could have happened.
The other day I picked up my twins from daycare at rush hour after work, proceeded to get on the highway where suddenly my tsa & engine lights come on, my car goes limp and we were in a very near-miss accident situation. I try to keep my calm as my children are keenly aware that something is wrong. I look at the dash, I look at the cars coming from the back and side, and I slowly creep along and immediately put my hazards on. Now I have to get myself from the left lane and maneuver in to the right with people coming up that can't yet see my distress signal. Fortunately, it was in fact a near-miss, and I was able to pull out of the driving lanes, stop my car, turn it off, and call my husband for help. I found that this exact situation has happened to many customers. Surely, there must be a recall on this accelerator pedal position sensor (app sensor). I call my new home's nearest dealership (libertyville IL ) to ask about any recalls on my VIN, and to additionally check about recalls on the app sensor. Nothing. This, however, has been repeatedly reported to you by many people over the years, and today I am reporting it again. Libertyville IL certified Acura dealership confirmed it was a sensor failure. In fact, when I spoke with bruce at the libertyville IL location, I expressed my sincere feelings about the situation and how I could not understand how this is not a recall item. In his attempt to make me feel better he said, look, this is such a rare thing. In my 15+ years in this business, you¿re only the 4th case I have personally had. ¿ instead of reassuring me, this infuriated me. One mechanic¿turned-service manager alone has had four of these death trap sensors? seriously, I have to ask, how many reported incidents does it take?.
The contact owns a 2008 Acura Tl. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the stability assistance warning indicator illuminated. The contact then noticed that the vehicle began to drive differently. A mechanic was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 102,000.

Yes my 1999 Acura 3. 2 Tl has the tcs light staying on in the vechile I went and had it plugged into a code checker and the read out was that the wheel speed sensor was bad but before that I was driving down the road( this is just one of 5 experiences I know of) when my car just died and it didnt want to crank back. It had never happened to me before I then began reading the owners manual and had to manually reset the cars computer ( I guess is what it is called) by pushing the shift lock in manually and pulling the car down into neutral and waiting about 5-15 seconds and placing it back up into park if the d4 indicator did not light up I then had to pull it back down into neutral while pressing the shift lock switch and then place it into d4 and back up into park most of the time it would reset its self and I could crank it in neutral but sometimes it would take me 2-3 minutes and now it seems to be getting longer and longer before it will reset itself this last time it took me approximentaly 10-15 minutes to reset the seitch to were I could turn the ignition and the car would turn over and crank. I.

Not sure if this is takata issue as well! or due to defective dashboard materials which have cracked severely bad! when it started they were lines hardly noticeable! now due to neglegance of the company the primary cracks are over the airbag area & have crevices across top and they are across entire dashboard? the light for airbags comes on and off at random times? the seat belt beeping indicator is not working all the time anymore! my car even though it is a 2004 is in very good shape from what other people have told me! that is of course until they see the craters in the dash of what is suppose to be a higher end nice model car that should hold up better than???? this is not to mention the fact of safety? is there a possibility the airbags have dried out or became effected due to these large cracks as well as what other damage it could be causing electronically? am I going to end up in some horrific car accident due to airbag release when just driving down the interstate and then it all be my fault for sweving over in another lane and cause the accident! then it will look as if I were at fault and airbags deployed as they should have done, instead opened prematurely due to defective parts? of course this is a hypothetical situation but I would think totally plausible!!! and all due to not having recalled what everyone already knows that dashboard material on this model and others that were recalled and repaired by dealers same year models 2004-2008 for the same identical reasons! that seems like a roll of the die at consumers expense! not to mention a liability to all consumers that happen to be driving these vehicles!.
Several time my right brakes have completely locked up for a few seconds with no warning. This cause car to veer off to the right nearly causing an accident. This has happened multiple times and can be recreated.
I own a 2004 Acura Tl that I purchased in April 2013. After I had the car a month it began to ride rough where the drive is normally smooth for about a day. After a day the engine light came on, then about am hour later the vsa and temperature gauge ignited, then the car would not accelerate any more. The manual informed me to restart the car in order to clear this condition, and it normally works only temporarily. This same problem may occur again the next day, couple of days or a week, but it is an continuous problem that often puts me in compromised and dangerous traffic situations. I have spent thousands of dollars at several dealers and other mechanics trying to get the issue resolved and have been told over and over that they can not detect a problem with the care or they are not codes deciphered by the diagnostics that should cause that can be fixed to relieve this condition. The dealer said that the codes are erased once the car is turned off then back on, and the dealers that say they see the codes say the codes does illustrate a problem.
My car battery kept dying every 3 months, I even got a new battery and my car was still dying. I was stranded at the bank in a parking lot, my driveway, and at work. After it died again and wouldnt start with a new battery I called the dealership. They stated it is my blue tooth, which hadnt been working, that is draining my battery and they have seen it in my model and year. I had to pay $100 to have it disconnected and they want to charge me $400 to have it replaced. I replaced it and now they wont reeimburse me. This should be a recall and it is a safety issue being stranded with your car not starting. I have a baby that is not ok with me to wonderr if my car will start. Please help Acura needs to be accountable for this faulty part and the safety of people driving their cars.
The vsa (stability control) system on my 2004 Acura Tl malfunctioned. The system would cause the right front brake to activate by itself, causing the car to severly swerve to the right. After a half-second or so, the vsa would disengage and the fault indicator would lite up on the dashboard. The Acura dealer was unable to diagnose the problem because vsa fault codes are not stored in the vehicle's memory after the car is restarted and the system automatically resets. This resulted in having to continue to drive the car until the fault re-occured. Eventually, when it happened again, I was able to take the car directly to dealer and they were able to diagnose the car (because we left it running so as not to clear the code). The problem was traced to a yaw rate sensor in the vsa system. Acura should make this information available to dealers. This poses a serious safety problem at highway speeds and there is nothing a driver can do to predict or prevent when this problem will occur.
Turned corner in large center city and hit a construction large pot hole and/or obstruction on the left rear. After completing turn onto a narrow one-way street acceleration increased, brakes did not work, engine could not be turned off, gears could not move. After going through two major intersections without accident I kept pulling on the emergency brake. The car slowly stopped and was then perfectly normal. Could use the brakes, shift, etc. I parked overnight in a garage. Had the car towed to dealer the next day (7/21/12), where it is still unresolved. Dealer said car is ok, but is now being analyzed by Acura corporate engineers. I had three other people who were in the car at the time, including my wife, who will not ever go into this car. The car was only 10 days after purchasing.
Was driving my vehicle which I just purchased on may 26th 2012, and my car began to have shifting problems in 2nd and third gear racing rpms and would not stay engaged in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear and violently downshifted into second gear at freeway speeds causing me even restrained by the seat beat to fly into the steering wheel and windsheild bumping my head and hurting my back due to whip lash. This occurrence happened several times. Then the d5 would start flashing and check engine light became lite. After calling Acura customer care, brian informed me of the recall that had to do with this matter and was supposedly fixed. My car is unsafe to drive because of the rapid change of speed at the cars desire. I could injure not just myself but others around me.

2006 Acura Tl 6 spd. 36,667 miles. Defective abs/vsa modulator leading to air in brake lines, spongy brake pedal with inconsistent unpredictable braking ability (dangerous conditions).
Car was purchased March of 2010 with 69k miles. Transmission failed in January of 2011 at approx. 73k miles. Dealer replaced transmission for $1800, after informing us that transmission was replaced by previous owner at approx. 60k miles. Just 13k miles prior. After less than 1 week after transmission is replaced, iac valve was replaced due to unstable rpm. I have never heard of a transmission failing after only 13k miles, nonetheless, a car having at least two transmissions replaced after only 73k miles. For all I know, the transmission should have never failed yet, I should not have had to pay for the repair because Acura cannot fix the problem, and this car should not be bought, sold, or driven.

My complaint is about safety issue with 2007 & 2008 Acura Tl type s car model. The dealer courtesy Acura and the manufacture Acura are fully aware that Acura Tl type s car is extremely dangerous and unstable car on snow. I purchased a "certified used" 2007 Acura Tl type s car for $28,899 from courtesy Acura of littleton, CO on Mar 12, 2010. The Acura Tl experienced the 1st snow on April 22, 2010. The car performed extremely poor on snow and lost ctrl several times. The car jeopardized the safety of school kids when it lost ctrl in the school premises. No other car had problems in that snow since the snow was melting. I immediately spoke to nick velasquez (gm at dealership) regarding the safety issues. Nick asked me to bring the vehicle for inspection. Ms. Michelle, service rep, at courtesy Acura told me that Acura Tl type s is known to perform poorly on snow due to its design, suspension and power at front wheels. Mr. Gary, Acura tech told me that Acura Tl type s is a dangerous car on snow even with snow tires. This caused me lot of concern. Nick said that his employees namely ms. Michelle and mr. Gary from service dept. Were giving their personal opinion on safety of car. I demanded refund of my money but the dealership refused to give money back. The only option they gave me was to trade the car with basic 2007 Acura rdx SUV at an additional cost. I ended paying $7,595 more than market price for 2007 Acura rdx. I also spoke to another owner and he also told me that his car is extremely dangerous to drive on snow. I filed a written complaint (case # [xxx] ) with Acura client services and on June 16, 2010 spoke to ms. Katrina (ext 115093) from client services department. Ms. Katrina refused to acknowledge snow handling issue with Acura Tl type s. I would request NHTSA to perform safety test on 2007-2008 Acura Tl type s on its snow handling capabilities as the car is extremely dangerous and can cause serious accidents. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Acura Tl long brake pedal travel.
Engine noise: a vibration and low buzzing sound in 5th gear caused by normal engine vibration at around 1,500 rpm, requiring a vibration damper near the rear motor mount. Also causing vibration on steering wheel at normal highways speed limits. And causing tires to cup and get bald. Very dangerous to drive on freeway causing steering to be very erratic due to vibration from front and rear broken engine mounts. Check-engine light: the check engine light may illuminate and a trouble code for the coolant sensor may be stored, but the problem is most likely a software glitch in the engine control module brakes: brake pedal may feel spongy or have excessive travel due to air in the brake lines requiring replacement of the vsa modulator. (2004-06) total repair cost so far. . . Item name repair cost a/c compressor $1,320 alternator $780 automatic transmission or transaxle $3,460 brakes $1,320 exhaust system $890 radiator $920 shocks and/or struts $3,200 timing chain or belt $1,050.
I was driving in icy conditions this morning when my Acura warning lights flashed on that the vehicle stabilization system and antilock brakes were not operating. I drove for a few more blocks and stopped the car to call the dealer. The service department said: "this happens under icy conditions. Turn off the motor and see if these systems come back up. If they don't you can bring it in. " in fact, the systems did return to normal once the car was turned off and re-started. But, what if I was driving on an icy highway. Aren't antiliock brakes and vehicle stabilization systems precisely needed for just such conditions. If this is a "common problem" for the Acura dealer, shouldn't this be reported and the problem fixed in a recall? it makes no sense that these systems should fail under the precise conditions when they are most needed.
