2005 Acura Tl- parked winters, garaged, babied and all service completed at the Acura dealerships. Car has 141,000 on it and was near 50,000 when purchased (aspec package etc). Car has developed cracks in the dashboard from the windshield to the instrument panel, across the center speaker and now directly on the indentation where the airbag is located on the passenger side. Reached out to Acura for assistance ((attached)) and they said the car is too old and outside warranty to help me. Irregardless of the fact I have always taken it to Acura and one look at the cars exterior and interior *paint and leather interior* shows that this car has been spoiled. The dashboard is a known issue for this generation and even made the news from complaints. I am now concerned that the airbag will not work properly or cause harm due to the structural integrity of the dashboard being altered due to shoddy craftsmanship that is not being backed up by Acura I have also raised concern that the headlight assembly are both cracking and discolored. I have had them professionally *refurbished* but the dealership said that they need to be replaced as they too are a safety issue not allowing proper light to be illuminated on the highway due to manufacture defect- again -- car parked winters, just look at the paint and quality of the car that is 15 years old.

Takata recall - my drive is flashing which is to do with my transmission and I'm having wiring problems also. Also I have no bright headlights they just completely stopped working and it's a wiring problem.
Hi I'm wanting to complain about this year Acura making models breaks because in the winter time when you go to press the brakes and start the car the brakes are completely frozen. Also wanted to complain about the headlights the headlights get dull and dingy with wear in tear and get very dull causing it to be very hard to see at night as well as the body all the molding on the top of the roof is peeling off the chrome trim molding please look into this further. My car is a daily driver I drive it everyday I get it a car wash every other day but that should be no reason for the top chrome trim on the roof to start peeling off and be coming undone from your car.

My vehicle is equipped with hid headlights for the low beams, and halogen headlights for high beams. I have observed that when the low beams are on, the forward illumination cast by the headlights is negligible. When driving and using the highway's dividing lines as a point of reference, my car only illuminates about two "dashes" in front of the car, which is a serious safety concern. I have measured the illumination when my car is parked on a flat surface, and the lights only shine approximately 52 feet in front of the car. My understanding is that low beams should typically shine at least 160 feet in front of the car. Furthermore, I have taken my car back to the Acura dealership's service department twice since I bought the car on 3/31/13 and have complained about the headlights, and they have checked them and said everything is fine. I am somewhat concerned that the Acura service department may not be able to properly check for forward illumination on headlamps; however,I have serious concerns that other Acura Tl 2013 owners may be in a similar situation and this lack of visibility could result in accidents, injuries, or deaths. Please help!.

I was driving my Acura home the other night about 7:30pm in the pouring down rain. All of the sudden both of my headlights went out at once and the high beams did not work either. I couldn't even see the side of the road to pull over, so I followed a semi's taillights until I could take the next exit. It was terrifying. We took the car to a mechanic and he couldnt figure out the problem so he called Acura in fife and they said it was an electrical issue and they had been having trouble with other cars doing the same thing. They want $1600 to fix headlights!! shouldn't this have been a recall issue since there is a huge safety factor here, putting not only the driver in danger, but other drivers on the road as well. I do plan on writing Acura as well.
My headlight keeps blowing out , at 100. 00 dollars everytime I replace the light it last about 3 wks and then blows out again , the other headlight flickers off and on, this is ridiculous . This is a severe safety concern because you never know when its going to go out.

Since all headlights have been redesigned to have plastic covers rather than glass, the amount of light available for lighting the road has diminished with time as the plastic ages. I have seen some vehicles where the headlight covers are totally opaque. If any vehicle has diminished luminous from its lights, it is a hazard to all other vehicles and pedestrians. Recalls should be sent to all manufacturers.
2000 Acura Tl. Consumer writes in regards to intermittent headlight outages
the consumer stated the headlights have been going out for more than a year. The consumer stated if she flipped the headlights on and off, they passenger headlight would come back on. The passenger headlight assembly was replaced. Not long after the replacement, the driver side light followed the same pattern. In December while driving, both low beams headlights failed. They did not come back on, when she tried to flip them on and off. She then discovered the high beams still worked.

The contact owns a 2000 Acura Tl. While driving approximately 25 mph with the headlights activated, the passenger side headlight suddenly failed to illuminate. The contact maneuvered to the side of the road and after turning the headlight control device several times, the passenger side headlight began to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where both headlights were replaced. The failure recurred after the repair was performed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the headlight control module would need to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired for the most recent defect. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
2003 Acura Tl. Consumer states headlight failure. Consumer attributes failure to a manufacturing/design flaw the consumer stated both headlights failed within the same year due to a faulty inverter which was very expensive. The inverter was designed to improve headlight performance.
I have noticed for the past 2 weeks that my left side headlight on my 2005 Acura rl works intermittently. Once I hit a bump it goes out completely until I turn off the car and restart. As of today 1/01/2011 it has been out for 2 days. I will be taking it in to have the dealer give me a deep pocket massage(quote). I can not continue to drive with one headlight. Unless Acura accepts responsibility for the manufacture defect I will have to pay. Please review all other complaints and understand that this is not a cheap fix. Thank you.
About 18 months ago the headlights on my 2004 Tl began flickering on and off while I was driving. I took the car to Acura but they couldn't find the problem and they told me it would cost $1000 to do an "appropriate diagnostic test". The problem with the headlamps stopped after a few months, but then other lights began going out (interior center console where the ac and radio are, and the interior console to the left of the steering wheel, and the interior door console) and flickering (exterior side panel lights when I alarm or dis-alarm the car). I took the car to Acura again in Nov 2011, and they told me the problem was was fixed after they replaced my battery, but they mistakenly only looked at the driver's dashboard lights where the speedometer/odometer are located (and where there is no problem) and the techs didn't understand what I was talking about. This lighting problem is getting unsafe, as I can no longer see the buttons for the ac/defrost, etc. At night and I have to fumble around to press the correct buttons. I know I am not the only one with this issue. The battery was so drained that I had to replace it, I believe because of this issue.
No accident - noticed on or about 12-26-2008 that passenger side headlight, when on, displaying a purple like tint- low-beam. 12-29-2008, bulb/light system failed. Dealer - 12/31/2008 states igniter, inverter and possible bulb failed. Repair 1000. 00 plus. Inverter and igniter 700. 00 + without bulb. Bulb 200. 00 +. This is a very expensive repair for a 3-4 year old dealer only vehicle parts service.
The contact owns a 2004 Acura Tl. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact was pulled over by the police and informed that the passenger side headlight was not working. The contact did not notice any differences in the headlights prior to the failure. The driver side headlight has recently been diagnosed by the dealer for the same issue. The passenger side headlight has not been diagnosed. The current mileage was 110,000 and failure mileage was 50,000.
2004 Acura Tl both xenon headlights stop working. This car low and high beam are on this system (one bulb for both low and high beam). No lights for driving at night and bad weather.
The headlights are so bright that they blind other drivers when on the road and come over a hill. This is increasing the owner's chance of an accident because the other drivers are not able to view the road, and could cause a head on collision between two vehicles. Manufacturer has been informed by the consumer.
Acura 2004 low beam headlights. Insufficient illumination of the road on driver's side, especially going down a hill. Cannot see if something/someone dashes out from driver's side. Dealer checked and it meets specifications for type of light/design.
Hd headlights on 1999 Acura 3. 2 Tl have been stolen twice within a 3 week period. Called dealer to inquire about maybe putting locks or something preventing this from happening again. I was told unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done. With the newer models they are not that easy to take out. I also called several alarm companies to inquire about motion sensor alarms and was told that even with that, if there is no impact to the car, the alarm won't go off, however, it will go off once the hood is touched but by that time, the headlights have been stolen already.

The left headlamp beam creates a dark/blind spot about 5-6' inches in diameter. The driver's eyes start focusing on this spot at high speeds the driver misses the lanes and gets blinded, dazed and confused - a cause that may very soon cause accidents.
Low beam head lights offer a dangerously low amount of light on roads with dips and hills and curves especially in neighborhoods. Lack of ambient light eliminates any chance at the split-second decision needed to avoid a possible deer or cat crossing or pedestrian in your path. Normally at low neighborhood speeds your bright light beams are not needed or used so the blacked out areas can pop up at anytime with no warning. These lights are going to cause accidents and deaths if they are not replaced with ones that are practical for everyday driving. What works on a test track isn't always best for the average driver.
High intensity discharge headlights on the Acura 3. 2 Tl are much too bright and poorly aimed. They tend to blind on coming traffic.
The contact owns a 2003 Acura Tl. The contact noticed that water entered into the housing of his headlights, leaked down into the balance and blew the bulb. The contact did not inform the dealer. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The current mileage was approximately 200,000. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000. The vehicle was not repaired.
Those new "blue" headlamps are blinding at night. They seem dangerous.
The headlights were too bright, the dealer adjusted them on two occasions.
