Body Problems of Acura TLX

My car shakes really bad when driving at 75 mph on smooth highway. Others have experienced the same problem online and most users pointed the problem to the cv axle.

A warranty extension for 2015 Acura Tlx was issued for vehicles painted b-588p obsidian blue pearl or fathom blue pearl. I have a 2016 Acura Tlx with exact same paint and identical peeling issue. My car was assembled in 2015 but is a model year 2016. Acura refused to fix.

While I was driving on the highway I heard a loud pop over head and when I open my roof shade I saw the my sunroof was shattered. Then glasses started flying everywhere. The shattered pieces of sunroof glasses put me at risk and other motor vehicles on the road. I looked up online and found out that this is an ongoing issue with Acura/Honda sunroof exploding. Acura hasn't made a recall yet.

I took my car to Acura carland in duluth georgia and I went initially for a check up on my recall I was notified for regarding my rod bearing and was told that there’s nothing they can do about it and offered to do a wheel alignment on my vehicle and that should help with the knocking noise I had coming from my engine and that I would have to wait till January for anything else regarding my recall. I asked what could I do until then and I was told to keep up with my oil change and that its until January. I even asked for a loaner and was denied stating that they don’t offer that which was hard to believe. A month after my recall on December 7th at 9:03 est pm my vehicle made more knocking noise way worse than before I had took it to Acura carland and I was traveling home from work and suddenly my car start losing power and my check engine was flashing and car was stalling a bunch which eventually lead to my entire engine giving out and I was left stranded in the middle of the night with my car not operating nor cranking. I reached out to the manufacturer again and she provided me a case number but I really wish something could be done sooner but now my car is completely broken and won’t crank anymore due to my engine being worn down by this recall which could of been avoided by proper customer care and no I don’t have a car anymore with no help from no one. Please help.

The contact owns a 2015 Acura Tlx. The contact stated that their vehicle's rear windshield had rust on their vehicle. My hood floats and rattles at freeway speeds. It is concerning in that other Honda vehicles also exhibit the same symptom and are now being recalled for hoods opening unexpectedly due to structure issues.

After approx. 15,000 miles on the odometer applying the brakes at highway speed to slow the car down the steering wheel shakes, went to the dealership they said the front brake rotors are warped. Also when traveling at highway speed around 70 mph with strong wind the hood of the car shakes as if it is not latched, stopped vehicle and checked that the hood is properly latched and it was, I am concerned that one time the hood will come unlatched as I am driving. Dealer said that was a normal like other Acura Tlx of the same year.

My sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving down the highway, dropping shards of broken glass all over me.

~tl- the contact owns a 2020 Acura Tlx. The contact stated that while her husband was driving m felt like the tire was about to deflate. He checked the tire and did not notice any problem. He continued to drive and the entire front driver's side wheel fell out. The vehicle was towed to the park avenue Acura dealer located 247 west passaic st, maywood, NJ 07607 where the director of service, carlos duarte, (201)-587-0029 stated that someone must have tampered with the vehicle. The technician offered to put the wheel back. The contact did not accept the offer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 830. Fe.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Acura Tlx. The contact stated that the instrument panel illuminated indicating the right front passenger door open when it is not open, the chime will go off and the two head liner vanity lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure would occurred when the vehicle in motion and when parked. The contact will open and close the doors but it will not correct the failure. The vehicle was taken to phil smith Acura, 940 n federal hwy, pompano beach, FL 33062, and was diagnosed but could not find a failure, but replaced a rubber latch on the passenger door. The contact mention that the vehicle was taken to the same dealer four times for the same failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 48,200. Aw.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Acura Tlx 2015. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph the glass sunroof suddenly exploded. The cause of the failure was not determined. The contact indicated that the failure occurred on a clear day with weather temperatures of 60 degrees. The local dealer serramonte Acura(475 serramonte blvd cola CA) was notified. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 80,000 . Jft.

The car did not brake when approaching a stoplight. Crashed into the last car in line. Investigation showed I started braking at 35 mph for 7+ seconds, before the crash. Two lines in both directions, the speed limit was 40 mph.

Spontaneous explosion of the sunroof.

Vehicle has a vibration that shakes passenger seat between 65-75 mph. Seems to be a safety issue and occurs every time the vehicle is at the speed listed.

I just turned on to the highway, and there was not a car around me. I started to accelerate and then there was a huge sound, almost like a gun shot. I immediately pulled over and noticed that my sunroof was complete shattered with a gaping hole in the middle of it. I was completely dumbfounded because I wasn't underneath a bridge or anything other than the clear blue sky. There were no cars around me to say an object hit it either. Just completely shattered for no reason. The best part is that Acura refuses to replace the sunroof when this is clearly a manufacturer default. They claim that there is no way for them to verify that it wasn't caused by an object hitting it. I'm hoping more people report this issue so the sunroof can be recalled because not only is this complete bs. It is very dangerous. If the sunroof shade wasn't closed, I would have had class shards all over the car and myself that could have landed in my eye and caused injury or even worse and accident.
