1 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 02/28/2026

The vehicle is throwing a steering code of lsak. The steering is being compromised as the vehicle cannot determine if it is being steered correctly or not. After researching this code, I have seen hundreds of other people so far complaining about the same code for this year, make and model. One person had stated that his steering stopped mid way on his drive. I looked up the prices of correcting this issue and it ranges anywhere form 1800. 00 to 2000 . 00. My vehicle only has 65,000 miles on it and this is a potentially very dangerous situation. With the hundreds of customers that I have seen so far that are complaining of the same issue, I do not feel that this should be the customers responsibility to fix but rather a recall or at the very least a class action lawsuit if the dealer will not correct this potentially very dangerous issue.

2 Steering problem of the 2025 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 01/22/2026

Description of safety defect: while starting car up, the digital instrument cluster (speedometer and all primary driver instrumentation) goes completely black with no warning. The infotainment system continues to operate normally. After driving a short distance (sometimes only a few miles), the vehicle then experiences a complete loss of power steering, making the car extremely difficult or impossible to control. This creates an immediate risk of a crash, especially at speed or during turning. In multiple instances, after this failure occurs, the vehicle also becomes difficult to shut off, remaining in accessory or powered states despite attempts to turn the vehicle off. This defect involves simultaneous failure •driver instrumentation display •electric power steering assistance •normal ignition shutdown behavior the loss of steering assist results in a sudden and unexpected loss of vehicle control. This appears to be an electronic or control-module failure affecting multiple safety-critical systems. Safety impact: this defect poses a serious risk of crash, injury, or death due to sudden loss of steering assistance and lack of speed/vehicle status information while driving. Frequency: has occurred twice - each time requiring roadside assistance to get the car to the dealer warning lights or messages: none - just complete loss of instrumentation cluster dealer response (if applicable): dealer initially claimed it had fixed, but it occurred again within 24 hours of retrieving from dealer. Dealer has now had car go over a week claiming that it needs to generate the fault state more than once before it will make any warranty repairs.

3 Steering problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 01/12/2026

While performing routine maintenance on my 2018 Acura Tlx, I discovered a critical structural failure in the front right (passenger side) lower control arm. The factory weld connecting the stamped steel control arm to the compliance bushing housing has failed and separated. Visual inspection reveals a clear manufacturing defect: there is a significant crater and void in the weld bead, indicative of incomplete fusion or a "start/stop" error during the manufacturing process. This is a latent structural defect, not a stress fracture from mileage or impact. The weld has begun to separate from the housing, leaving a visible gap. Safety risk: this failure compromises the suspension geometry and structural integrity of the vehicle. If the weld completes its separation while driving, it would result in the control arm detaching from the subframe, leading to immediate loss of steering control, wheel collapse, and a high probability of a collision. Status: no warning lights were illuminated prior to discovery. The vehicle has not been involved in any collisions that would affect this component. The defective part is currently on the vehicle but is available for inspection by NHTSA or manufacturer representatives upon request.

5 Steering problem of the 2020 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 10/28/2025

Was driving on the highway at posted 65 and 70-mph when car suddenly went into 'limp mode' to under 50mph and I was forced to exit the highway after nearly being rear-ended. Dash error indicated 'precision all wheel steering had malfunctioned'. Took the car to crown Acura in cleveland where I was told that it would be $9210 to replace two rear wheel steering actuators or $2800 if they used salvage parts. This was a known issue with the 2015-2020 Acura Tlx cars and there are numerous reports online in Tlx and Acura forums. Had a semi truck been behind me, there is no question that I would have been in an accident and injured if not killed. Acura needs to address this issue with these cars under a federally mandated recall notice.

6 Steering problem of the 2021 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 08/07/2025

The wipers come on by themselves and do not turn off. The engine may or may not start with the key fob nearby. All the dash warning lights come on with warnings about the brake system, the transmission, the steering, the adaptive cruise control all reporting a problem. The vehicle goes to limp mode and throttle response is severely reduced. There is some sort of water leak which is shorting out or causing the bcm or body control module to act erratically due to water from rain getting into the area because of improper weather sealant placed during manufacturing. There is a service bulletin that was put out in roughly April of 2024 that describes this issue affecting the 2021 Tlx models.

7 Steering problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

I am getting a u129d-00 code, my vehicle isn't passing 50mph. Says lane keep assist problem, vehicle stability problem, precision steering problem, I am experiencing all the characteristics of specific service bulletin 15-050. What are my options.

8 Steering problem of the 2022 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 06/22/2025

When I was driving as low speed, all the dashboard lights began blinking on the dashboard while I was driving. The steering wheel began to get stiff and I had a hard time turning it. I pulled into a parking lot, with much difficulty trying to steer into it and the steering wheel locked completely. I turned the car off and back on and all the lights went off and the dashboard looked normal. I then drove home without any other incident. I wish I had taken a picture of the dashboard to show the dealer. Hopefully it won't happen again.

9 Steering problem of the 2022 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 05/05/2025

I got new tires and an alignment performed and ever since the car has pulled to the right. The car has been to the dealer for 6 alignments due to the car veering to the right. They swapped the wheels from another car to ensure it wasn’t the new tires and the problem still occurred. As soon as I let go of the wheel it pulls to the right no matter if it’s a crowned road or not. Each time the alignment is completely off from the last time it had it performed. I took it to 3 different dealers and they all suggested throwing parts at it (replacing the rear subframe for $3000 or a front driver strut for $1400) telling me that they don’t know if it’d fix it or not.

10 Steering problem of the 2022 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 04/26/2025

My husband and I have a 2022 Acura Tlx (purchased new) that was issued a safety recall. We brought the car into the dealership in April to fix the problem. Two weeks later, the car completely malfunctioned- every warning light went off at the same time, and the car completely lost control. Steering, brakes, power/gas, everything went out. During this second visit, the dealership replaced the pcm. Last night, the exact same issue happened. My husband was thankfully near home, but if he was on a highway, he could've easily been killed. Again, everything in the car went out- steering, brakes, power- and he had zero control of the car. The car was towed a couple hours ago to the dealership (third time since initial visit in April), and the service manager said, "this has never happened before. . . " and had no answers. This is an extremely high risk situation, and we do not feel safe getting into this car when the dealership/manufacturer is clearly not able to fix their own safety recall.

11 Steering problem of the 2021 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 03/01/2025

When driving my vehicle I abruptly lost power steering on the freeway. I received an error on the screen " electric power steering problem, assisted steering reduced". I was able to safely drive my car off the freeway. However, I feel like this problem can cause someone else with not enough strength such as an elderly person to loose control of the vehicle if they encounter the same issue. I took my car to the Acura dealer, and they advised they needed to replace the rack and pinon due to a " steering position sensor" issue.

12 Steering problem of the 2022 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/10/2024

All the dashboard lights began blinking on the dashboard while I was driving about 30mph. The steering wheel began to get stif. I pulled over immediately and the steering wheel locked completely. I turned the car off and back after about 10 min and I was able to drive home. Luckily I was only 5 minutes away. I took it to the Acura dealer and after it was inspected they said it had to do with the steering however nothing was replaced or fixed. They advised me to let them know if it happens again. This is the first time it occurs however I’m afraid to drive this car especially on the freeway if the same incident occurs it can cause a major accident.

13 Steering problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/15/2023

I am one of many owners of an Acura/Honda j35 v6 engine that has had a connecting rod bearing failure at low mileage to no fault of the owner. In this case that is me. I bought this vehicle 5,000 miles ago from a dealer and it ran great. No issues. Ran trouble codes. None. Out of no where it started ticking. I stopped. Many other people who don’t know cars wouldn’t. If you keep driving the vehicle with this engine failure it eventually seizes the motor and you lose power steering. Connecting rods can snap and be projected through the engine as well. This is an uncommon failure in engines unless neglected or there is a defect. Honda even had to recall vehicle many years ago for the same exact issue which is now occurring again. I am encouraging other owners to file a complaint that are in our Acura forum online. Will be able to submit documentation when car is fixed. At dealer now.

14 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/11/2023

I recently got my rotors replaced and the car stutter while braking. Also, this happened before I replaced rotors. . The transmission is slow and won't shift to merge highways. I don't know if its the transmission or the brake lines. . I guess it's the transmission trying to drop gears for engine braking and it starts stuttering.

15 Steering problem of the 2018 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 05/04/2023

I was driving and a lot of warning lights came on, on the dash and 10 different warning messages in the message center. The alignment instantly messed up jerking my car to the right and I had to try to gain control and correct. Luckily, I was only going about 25-30mph and was able to correct. If this would have occurred moving faster the outcome could have been very different. Dealership is stating it is the p-aws actuator on my 2018 Acura Tlx that have gone out and caused this to occur. Appears to be an issue many have encountered with two different Acura models according to what I have found online and a costly repair of $6,000. Someone could really have been hurt with this issue if going at a speed of normal driving or on a freeway.

16 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 08/20/2020

The vehicle has rear steering paws. When vehicle was on a tire shop lift the rear suspension inspected. The rear wheels have side to side play. No up and down movement though. Feel like a bad wheel bearing when moving side to side. The rear actuators on both sides move. Dealer said normal. My car shakes all the time. Dealer said normal. People on Acura forum. 20 Steering problem of the 2016 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 07/18/2020

I saw a mechanic and figured out the problem. I checked on Acuras website and there was a notice that they recalled this car last year with the same exact thing that my car was diagnosed with and my car is malfunctioning and there is nothing they can do about it because my VIN does not have a recall on it even though I have the exact problem of their recall. My car is malfunctioning and I called headquarters client relations and they told me they can do nothing about it and that if I want it fixed then I have to fix it myself. I was driving on a high way when all the lights turned on in my car my brake system says it failed my transmission light is on, my park brake is flashing, lane assist popping up. There are many people with Acuras who have the same issues as I do!.

22 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 09/02/2019

2015 Acura Tlx 2. 4 model has jerking between 1 and 3rd gear. While driving on a highway if feels as if the wheel alignment is off had a wheel alignment done didn't fix problem. Steering wheel needs to be held at an angle to drive straight. When trying to start the car I'll hear a clicking sound instead of it starting. Needs a jump to start happened 3 times already. Battery was tested results that I have good batter life.

23 Steering problem of the 2016 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 08/16/2019

Takata recall it was around 7:30 am I was driving my kids to school and I felt like I slightly lost control of my vehicle and like it was slipping somehow. Next thing I know the steering wheel is crooked and almost every warning lights have turned on and I started getting all the warning sounds describing more warinings than I could check on the second page on this incident report. I barely bought my Acura a few months ago so I'm very shocked be having such a scary incident so fast. I thought Acura's were dependable reliable cars that would keep me and more importantly my children safe. I felt so scared for the safety of my children. It was even more upsetting to find that this same situation on the same brand of Acura's has happened before to more than 1 person on youtube! what is Acura waiting for on a recall. You would think they wouldn't want any lawsuits when someone gets hurt. Please help turn this into a recall before lives are lost. Thank you.

24 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

The vehicle is shaking at highway speeds , I have replaced the tires ,brakes , rims and the vehicle I am told from the dealer that my vehicle doesn't apply to known issue and there's nothing I can about it , I have had it balanced and road forced tested with no relief it's a concern as the vehicle instability has caused for new hubs and already on a vehicle less than 50k on the mileage.

25 Steering problem of the 2016 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 11/21/2018

While traveling 75 mph on interstate multiple / all warning lights suddenly illuminated on dash board and the car placed itself into neutral from drive position. Upon coming to rest car was placed into park along shoulder and when drive was selected it would not engage. Vehicle was turned off and allowed to sit for several minutes before restarting again. Again it would not allow to go into drive. Tow truck was dispatched and after about 30 minutes car was able to shift into drive. Vehicle was then driven about 1/8 mile along shoulder to visible rear stop entrance. We waited for tow to truck to arrive. Car was restarted and would not engage into drive or neutral when attempting to load onto tow truck. After several attempts neutral and drive eventually engaged. Car was taken to nearest dealer just before close before major holiday. Recieved call from dealer stating that the cause of all this was dead battery. Unknown to them battery was replaced y months prior. Also I have dts report showing multiple malfunctions and errors. I feel that if all this can happen by having a dead battery (that somehow allows you to restart your car multiple times after initial malfunction) this is a huge safety concern. I called dealership back and asked them to double check diagnosis and also check alternator being that the battery is only 6 months old.

26 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 02/21/2018

Vehicle has a vibration that shakes passenger seat between 65-75 mph. Seems to be a safety issue and occurs every time the vehicle is at the speed listed.

27 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 02/11/2016

While in motion, the vehicle begins to veer to the right. An immediate correction is made but the wheels don't respond. After several seconds, a grinding noise is heard from the back and the car shakes. After that happens, the car drives normal. This has happened at slow speeds, high speeds, going around curves, and driving straight. I have gone off the road once because of this. It has happened five times in approximately 8600 miles (9 months).

28 Steering problem of the 2015 Acura TLX

Failure Date: 11/21/2015

While driving the power stering stopped working without warning. This happened 3 times on 112115 to get the stering back you must find a place to pull over place the car in park shut it off and than restart car not always an easy thing to do.
