While performing routine maintenance on my 2018 Acura Tlx, I discovered a critical structural failure in the front right (passenger side) lower control arm. The factory weld connecting the stamped steel control arm to the compliance bushing housing has failed and separated. Visual inspection reveals a clear manufacturing defect: there is a significant crater and void in the weld bead, indicative of incomplete fusion or a "start/stop" error during the manufacturing process. This is a latent structural defect, not a stress fracture from mileage or impact. The weld has begun to separate from the housing, leaving a visible gap. Safety risk: this failure compromises the suspension geometry and structural integrity of the vehicle. If the weld completes its separation while driving, it would result in the control arm detaching from the subframe, leading to immediate loss of steering control, wheel collapse, and a high probability of a collision. Status: no warning lights were illuminated prior to discovery. The vehicle has not been involved in any collisions that would affect this component. The defective part is currently on the vehicle but is available for inspection by NHTSA or manufacturer representatives upon request.

Adaptive damper system error on dashboard. Took the car to the dealer and they confirmed two issues. Codes c1646-14 and c1647-14 indicating the stroke sensor has lower limit abnormality. Dealer recommended replacing both rear shocks due to over extension. Once shocks were replaced, codes returned. During further investigation, corrosion was found in the stroke sensor wiring harness. Harness is the root cause of the issue. Car is available at the dealer for inspection if necessary. From a safety perspective, if I continued to drive the car I could have experienced a malfunction in the braking system which could have led to brake failure, failure of safety features, or a car stall.

Last week, the right lower ball joint began producing a noticeable squeaking noise. I brought the vehicle to irvine Acura in irvine, California, where two technicians confirmed that the right lower ball joint boot is intact with no grease leakage; however, the ball-and-socket joint displays excessive play. The dealership recommended replacing both lower control arms, despite the left side currently being in acceptable condition. If the right lower ball joint were to fail, it could result in a loss of vehicle control.

The contact owns a 2021 Acura Tlx. The contact stated that while driving over a bump in the roadway, there was a squeaky metallic sound coming from the front passenger’s side suspension. The cause of the failure was not yet determined, and the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure and advised the contact to have the vehicle diagnosed. The failure mileage was 91,000.
I got new tires and an alignment performed and ever since the car has pulled to the right. The car has been to the dealer for 6 alignments due to the car veering to the right. They swapped the wheels from another car to ensure it wasn’t the new tires and the problem still occurred. As soon as I let go of the wheel it pulls to the right no matter if it’s a crowned road or not. Each time the alignment is completely off from the last time it had it performed. I took it to 3 different dealers and they all suggested throwing parts at it (replacing the rear subframe for $3000 or a front driver strut for $1400) telling me that they don’t know if it’d fix it or not.
I was driving on the freeway for about 5 minutes and literally out of no where my car began to make a strange noise and then my engine light came on. Following that my car shut off and I immediately lost power I pulled over as best I can and turn my hazard on eventually the car died because I couldn’t get a tow out fast enough and I’ve had it sitting at a shop ever since this incident. . Tell.
I've received the recall notice for my car about 2 years ago. I've tried to schedule time with the dealership to get it fixed but they just keep telling me they don't have the parts or I have to wait till something "bad" happens first for them to prioritize me. This seems really unsafe and bad practice. I've reached out to Honda and they have open a case to review this but has not gotten back to me since. The car has stall once and a few times during the engine shut off while stopping, it takes a moment for the engine to come back, not normally like when I got the car. There has been a few time that there were cracking noise while I was driving. I stop driving the car as much as I can to avoid an accident happening. Please help me get some resolution with Honda, it's been almost 2 years.

My car shakes really bad when driving at 75 mph on smooth highway. Others have experienced the same problem online and most users pointed the problem to the cv axle.
This car exhibits rumbling when goinin to a decreasing downward motion as if its trying to change gear but cant. Coming home from a doctors appointment last month it was raining an coming up to the top of a very small hill and just as I hit the top at the point the shocks start to lift up I almost lost control. This is not the first time its happened. It usually happens in a decelerating turn. But I have tried to get appointments with huntsville and nashvile dealerships. Hunstville had my appointment I waited for for 4 months and it was around June the 14th and they told me not to come in they were out of parts. So they had parts but ran out!.
I would like to report a serious safety issue with the 2021 Acura Tlx type s. Recently in April 2024, while driving, I heard a loud pop from the vehicle, and it turned out that the transfer case had burst into the transmission. This failure has rendered the rear-wheel drive non-functional, resulting in severe oversteer. This oversteer is especially dangerous because the vehicle is now operating as front-wheel drive, which creates an unpredictable and hazardous driving experience. This issue could lead to a catastrophic transmission failure, particularly at highway speeds, posing a severe safety risk to me and other drivers. I have contacted the dealer about the problem, but they have refused to take any corrective action. I’ve also found that multiple other owners have reported similar issues with this model, highlighting a potential widespread problem with the transfer case and transmission interface. Given the safety risks associated with this failure, I urge NHTSA to investigate this defect and take appropriate action to ensure public safety.
The transfer case blows up and which causes the all-wheel-drive system of the car to go away and the car becomes from wheel drive which changes the way the car drives and makes it very dangerous. The car has a lot of oversteer and this is very dangerous to highway roads.
Please see attached document, as my whole description would not fit in the box.

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Acura Tlx. While driving 50 mph, the contact heard an abnormal wiping noise and the vehicle shook violently when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The shaking stopped when the brakes were applied. The vehicle was taken to napleton's palm beach Acura (6870 okeechobee blvd, west palm beach, FL 33411, (888) 980-7593) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 200.
The vehicle is shaking at highway speeds , I have replaced the tires ,brakes , rims and the vehicle I am told from the dealer that my vehicle doesn't apply to known issue and there's nothing I can about it , I have had it balanced and road forced tested with no relief it's a concern as the vehicle instability has caused for new hubs and already on a vehicle less than 50k on the mileage.
While using the air conditioner in comfort mode suspension settings on my advanced shawd model, the front suspension intermittently squeaks and creaks. It is very audible in the colder months or after it rains.
