The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rack and pinion was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the power steering hoses needed to be replaced. Mcdaniels Acura of charleston (2283 savannah hwy, charleston, SC 29414, 843-766-1299, was contacted and informed of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.
