Electrical System problem #1

The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tsx. The contact stated that upon attempting to start the vehicle, it failed to start. All warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the ecu, determining that corrosion had caused the component to fail. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 13v093000 (engine and engine cooling, electrical system), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 170,000.

Electrical System problem #2

The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tsx. The contact stated that the emission warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a defective ecm/pcm due to salt corrosion. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v093000 (engine and engine cooling, electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

Electrical System problem #3

Immobilizer green key light will not go off. I have been troubleshooting and found corrosion in the pcm/ecm control unit that is under the center counsel. Salt-water soaked the carpeting and that corroded the frame of the unit and got inside and onto the circuit board. I checked for a recall and there is one for this model and year. It asked for the VIN # and it came back telling me it wasn't included in the recall. My question is why other VIN# is covered for this problem but mine is not. Corrosion is corrosion and the cause is a saltwater soaked carpeting next to the drivers gas pedal. Car was stationary, private drive and city street please explain.
