5 Power Train problem of the 2004 Acura TSX

Failure Date: 12/18/2021

I have a 2004 Acura Tsx I purchased from the original owner back on may of 2018 with 55000 original miles. The car runs like new it was well taken care of with the original owner all services and inspections were up to date as/ carfax report. The car since I've owned I put 19000 miles with all service and inspections up to date so the vehicle has now 74000 miles. 3 weeks ago the automatic transmission started to shift rough. The fluids and filter were replaced at 60000 miles so its not the fluid thats dirty. I took it to 3 different mechanics including my state inspection mechanic and they told me the transmission needs to be replaced because it's starting to go bad. I was also told these transmissions came faulty in a lot of Honda cars and Honda was to replace them at no cost. My question is if my car falls into this warranty issue because I know the year of car is old but the car looks and runs like new. Please let me know what can be done to solve this matter maybe there is a recall that I'm not aware of and maybe it can be repaired thru the manufacturer since this is a very expensive and costly issue to take care of on my own. I can be reached at 914-224-2790 if you need further information thank you. Eliezer ruiz (owner).

11 Power Train problem of the 2010 Acura TSX

Failure Date: 01/06/2014

Brake pedal is freezing. Why is this not a recall!? it was a cold morning (3 degrees f). I warmed up the car, left my road and, as I approached the light at the main road, I went to apply the brakes and the brake pedal was like a rock. It wouldn't move. I'd already applied the brakes several times before getting to that point. I looked down at the pedal to see if anything was in the way. With little time to react and the gear shift reading like war and peace in that moment, I threw the car into park to try to reduce the impact as I hit 2 of the cars at the light. I immediately called 911. While on the phone with them, I heard a hissing sound and the brake pedal finally gave way. I phoned the dealer and was told the same thing happened to two other people that day--just from that one dealership. I got nowhere with them because I was out of warranty. I called Acura corporate and they could not have cared less. They asked what I wanted and I said, "I want you to care about why your brake pedal is freezing. " with my car still at the body shop, I phoned the dealer again. They said they think it's a faulty check valve and vacuum line that lets condensation freeze in the line. And guess what? those parts happened to be on a national back order. . . But there's no recall!??? I went to the dealership and met with the general manager, who agreed to provide me with a loaner until the parts came in after the body shop was done with my car. The plan was to drive the car slowly from the body shop to the dealer. But then the body shop called to tell me the brake pedal froze on them as they went to pull it into the garage to work on it (again, it was a cold morning). They didn't feel comfortable letting me drive it so called the dealer on my behalf who agreed to pick it up and tow it to the dealership. It hasn't happened since the repair but it hasn't been that cold.
