Mechatronics unit failed, stalled on freeway nearly caused an accident behind me.
Audi continues to tell me that this recall has been completed yet Audi’s website clearly states of the recall has not been completed your website. States of the recalls not completed and car fractures that recalls not been completed. Yet they refuse to complete the recall in my car.
24v110-the suction jet pump inside the fuel tank, designed to purge fuel from the evap system is defected and if a specific seal inside an affected suction jet pump fails, the fuel may flow directly into the evap system. If this happens, fuel could accumulate in the evap system and may leak through the charcoal canister filter element. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, may result in a fire. My live and the live of my children is at risk every time I/we drive my car, due to the fact that my car could catch on fire. It is just a matter of time and I am not willing to risk getting caught in a fire, getting hurt or even dying inside my car. There is no repair available and I can not wait any longer. I am requesting replacement of my car ASAP.
The suction jet pump inside the fuel tank is designed to purge fuel from the evaporative emissions (evap) system. This mechanism could leak and cause a fire. I have informed Audi about the issue but they indicated there isn't a fix for the repair currently. They even stated there isn't a deadline or date they could give me for the repair.

Estoy preocupado porque esta situacion podria ocacionar un incendio. Encontre un recall 20y6/20y5 el cual se refiere a mi problema. Qiero saber si este recall me aplica. Gracias.
Car start running loosing fuel.
Cust gasoline is spilling out of the rear part of the unit. The following complaint, was escalated to Audi USA related to recall of the suction pump, campaign number 16v647000. My vehicle was replaced or completed the recall on 2017, as requested, approximately 1 years or less of the purchase. Now my vehicle presents the same situation with only 32,000miles and Audi, may be a quotation over $5300 to repair a car that have the same behavior or symptoms that the suction pump recall, with its a safety recall. The car didn't present in the dashboard any flag of malfunction to advise of the danger situation, was in the store parking and one person point me that the car is spill gasoline. The car was moved in the trolley crane to the mechanic's shop. The mechanics, told me that Audi, is responsible for this situation because was a recall. I called to Audi puerto rico, and USA and told me that the car has 7 years, and it is out of warranty. I reiterated, that is a manufactured detects and Audi will be responsible because is a safety issue and the car didn’t present any advice of .
I had a safety issue with the gas tank not accepting gas and spilling over and out. I replaced the gas tank and vapor canister, and costly labor. My car was taken palm beach performance ro#: 11887 1761 latham rd west palm beach, FL 33409 tel#: 561-932-8840.
The component failing seems to be the fuel system. It is unsafe because the vehicle shoots out fuel all over the place (which is a fire hazard) when I attempt to add fuel to the car. Even though this problem (for our vehicle) is listed on an Audi technical service bulletin, they said that they have nothing to do with the problem. Audi won't inspect the problem just said I have to pay for any repairs. There were no warning lamps, etc. One day the car just starting spitting gas out and has become progressively worse as time has passed. Can only add an extreme minimum amount (about $5. 00 worth or less) of fuel to the fuel tank before it shoots out all over the place. The Audi technical service bulletin is uploaded below. We purchased the 2016 car about two years ago but haven't driven it much until recently.
Upon parking in my garage, the vehicle leaked fuel from the rear-wheel on passenger side. There were no warning lights to indicate the fuel line or other component was compromised or malfunction. The vehicle was towed to the Audi service center for inspection. The inspection revealed fuel was in the charcoal canister, filter and leak diagnostic pump; replacements were needed. Please see video: https://api. Mykaarma. Com/video-walkaround/details?inspection_uuid=62b08d040e1dff5107d5e511&filetype=image_and_video the fuel leak was similar to the 2016 Audi recall 16v647000; it was due to a problem with the suction pump inside the fuel tank, fuel may flow into the evaporative emissions (evap) system. As fuel accumulated in the evap system, it leaked out through the charcoal canister filter element.

Car stalls after running, stalls at intersections. No warning lights show on the dash and restart is not immediate. Last event was in city stopped at stop sign, stalled when attempted to accelerate. Same symptoms as in recall 17v508000. This has happened no fewer than 20 times over the last 2 years. Today's date documented today.
Twice I have experienced the random loss of power. The first time occurred on a local street, driving approximately 40 mph, and all of a sudden the vehicle stuttered and lost power. It appeared as if the vehicle was slowing down, not even coasting but slowing down considerably. I was required to pull onto a side road. I restarted the car and the issue disappeared. The second time occurred on the highway driving in the left lane at approximately 70 mph. Same issue, car stuttered and then loss power. The car's speed slowed considerable fast, from 70 to 30 in apprximately 5-7 seconds. With the inability to accelerate on a three lane highway, it was difficult to make my way to the shoulder on the right side of the road. After the stutter, you can press the gas pedal and not acceleration is experienced. I did not notice any warning lights on the instrument panel. Brought the vehicle to Audi to address this issue, and their response was "we don't see any fault codes, therefore we have no record of it happening", and sent me off with a "good luck" vehicle had apprximately 12,000 miles and 15,000 miles when issues occurred. All dealer recommended maintanence was performed.
I bought a cpo 2016 A3 1. 8t from Audi of palo alto on may 20, 2017 with a little under 19100 miles. Great fast car. Until June 17, 2017 when it had 19878 miles. The car started to stutter/sputter/jerk while on the fwy. I was going about 50-60mph on the fwy, cruising, and then it stuttered. It lost the power to accelerate to keep up the fwy pace and it slowed down considerably so I pulled over. I had it towed to the nearest dealer (Audi of concord). It was there from 6/17 to 6/29. Dealer said it had a faulty turbo, stating the wastegate failed, so they replaced the entire turbo. I got the car back with about 20072 miles, so apparently they did some road tests. Yesterday, July 3, 2017, while picking up some gifts for my daughter's birthday, the issue came back again. This time, my wife and 2 small children were in the car. We were cruising around 60-65 mph. It was scarier as I had to think for their safety first and foremost. Imagine a car that suddenly lost acceleration power on the freeway at around 6:30pm. We easily could have gotten rear-ended. Anyway, I researched on Audi's reliability and did read on some comments about how lousy they are. I gambled and decided to buy one anyway. Boy did I lose big. At this point, I'd rather have a kia or chevy.
We received two safety recalls from Audi: NHTSA recall #16v647 and #16v642. We were informed by Audi that the service would have to be completed by an authorized Audi dealer. The closest Audi dealer is in honolulu, which would require us to ship our car from maui. Given this was an Audi recall, it was my expectation that they would either pay the costs or authorize the work to be done on maui by the vw dealer, which is one of Audi's sister companies. Neither recall has been completed as of today. Since these are safety recalls, I would fully expect Audi to pay for all costs as well as the inconvenience of not having a car for at least a week, due to inter-island shipping schedules. Although Audi claims they would consider compensating us for out of pocket costs, based on a recent repair that is covered by our warranty, I do not trust that Audi will compensate us. On April 25, 2017, the passenger seat belt and air bag alert lights lit up for no reason. The owner's manual said that when both lights are on, the owner should get the car to a technician immediately. We had the car evaluated and repaired by the local vw dealer, paying for it out of pocket. On may 1, I contacted Audicare to get understand the reimbursement process. I was told to send in the work order and proof of payment and they would process it under the warranty coverage. The case number they assigned us is case number 170475720. Copies are attached. Today, may 8, I called Audi to confirm receipt and was informed that they are not going to compensate us. Their reasoning is that because the work was not done by an Audi technician, they would not pay for the cost. However, given this was a safety issue related to a faulty airbag sensor, we had to get the car to a technician immediately. Given this was a safety related issue, there was no way we could ship the car to an Audi dealer anyway.
