1 Wheel problem of the 2020 Audi A3

Failure Date: 05/28/2022

Our vehicle was purchased new a year and four months before the tires were considered completely "dry rotted" out by the Audi technician. The vehicle has 35, 737 miles on it, but it was all highway commuting driving. The tmps never sparked an issue until the tires got down to 10 psi only 10 miles before we were on our way to the dealership for this routine 30k maintenance appointment. The tech said that the tmps would not show an issue because the faulty tires were all worn down with dry rot equally. So it was a 1: 2 punch of faulty tires with a terrible design to the tmps. To make it worse, we were supposed to have the car in for this maintenance plan 3 weeks before, but Audi called to tell us they were canceling our appointment because they were double booked. In fact, the only reason this car was even able to be seen at this appointment on this day three weeks later was because our other Audi was scheduled for routine maintenance the day of this appointment and we asked to push back our other Audi so this one could be seen since it was too much of a delay. So our safety kept being put at risk by a design flaw with the vehicle that did not show an issue when it should have, faulty tires given to us by Audi, and then a large delay in service we were supposed to receive (nd a delay in service on our other vehicle as well). Also they were unable to fix the other recall on the vehicle because Audi ran out of parts for it, so we are at risk still for that recall issue. It is unknown when they will address this. Also interestingly enough, we have maintenance and repair plans for everything on this vehicle, and of course, this just happened to be the one thing not covered conveniently. We submitted to Audi that this is unacceptable, and they refused to help us. The mechanic included a video of the damage to the tires that we will submit with this. The link for this is https://asr. 2 Wheel problem of the 2018 Audi A3

Failure Date: 12/15/2018

Hi, I bought an Audi A3 2018 on November 2017 from Audi of rochester hills, michigan. Since then I have had issues with the original pirelli tires in the car. Two incidents happened within a span of 1 year where the tire was damaged on the side wall and and it was irreplaceable so I had to get a new tire within few months of buying the car. On Dec 15, 2018 I lost tire pressure while driving in shelby township, michigan and when I took the car to the dealer I was told that there was sidewall damage. On may 31, 2018 I went over a pothole at the intersection of hurontario & eglinton in mississauga ontario, where one of the tire got punctured (complaint filed with city of mississauga, transport canada and picture attached). I took it to a mechanic shop and they said that I'll have to replace the tire as they couldn't fix the tire because the side wall was damaged. Once I got back to michigan I got a new tire at the dealership and I asked both the dealership and pirelli about the quality of the tires but was told this is what the supplier (pirelli) suggested for the A3. I was told at the dealership that this is an issue with the low profile tires on the Audi cars. If the dealership is aware of the issues then this should be communicated back to the oem as well as the supplier. This is part of the quality and safety standards that dealership should be providing to the customers. Within a year I had to pay for tires because the quality is not good enough to handle potholes? the issue happened in low speed for me so I was able to steer the vehicle to safety. If this had happened on a highway, it could have been a dangerous situation. Thank you for your consideration.

3 Wheel problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 03/16/2018

Continental tires that came installed on my 2015 Audi A3 and appear to either have been defective or poorly installed. I started experiencing leaks in the rear right tire of the car, and took it to a mechanic for inspection. The mechanic's report (attached, along with pictures of the tire) states: "damage to bead of tire where it seats (sic) . . . These conditions are caused by improper use of tools, incorrect techniques used when mounting/demounting tires and/or lack of bead lubrication". I have been driving my two young children in this car with this defective tire for about 16,000 miles and 3 years, and don't even want to think about what could have happened had the tire had failed at 65mph. Please note that your website fails when trying to upload pics. Happy to do so at a later date.

4 Wheel problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 11/09/2017

While driving conti pro contact tires 225/40r/18 92hxl while driving 65 mph the front driver side thread seperated causing the tire to blow out. Losing control and almost crashing the vehicle. I was left strained until tow truck arrived at the scence.

5 Wheel problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 06/19/2017

1 cracked rim and 1 bent rim. The cracked rim caused air to leak from the tire, so I got I became aware of it after taking it into a tire shop to investigate the issue. 8 months later I take the car back in due to a vibration between 35-40mph and I was shown that the rim was bent. I don't remember ever hitting anything hard enough to think that I could have cracked or bent a rim. I question the structural integrity of their 19" rims.

6 Wheel problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 02/16/2015

Since purchasing my Audi A3 on 2/8/2015 I have had four flat tires. Dates of tire failure: 2/16/15, 2/18/15, 3/5/15 and 4/3. My tires are oem and are contiprocontact 225/40 18 92h. All four tire failures have happened at low speed (5-20 mph) going over potholes. However, I have driven on these same boston roads for 12 years and never had tire damage from a pothole before. Currently my total mileage is just under 1200. As I purchased a tire warranty, the warranty company has replaced the tires with new tires. They claim it is just bad roads. (said another customer had 7 flats in a few weeks) however, online it seems that there are many complaints for continental tires having sidewall issues (bubbling) with no or minimal road hazard and at low speeds. A dealership service employee said they have been overwhelmed with tire issues, mostly in newly sold Audis. The dealership is not tracking any data on which tires are having issues. They are not offering any solutions. Audi national did nothing. I am scared to drive my car. Am a single woman who has to travel at all hours of the day/night and go all over the state, including through some rough city neighborhoods or secluded areas. It has become a professional liability to be so unreliable as I spend all my time waiting for road service, taking my car to the dealership, etc.
