Two problems related to front seat heater/cooler have been reported for the 1997 Audi A4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The seat heater was too hot and burned holes through he seat. Ph.
Heated driver seat activated for less than five minutes with outside temperature less than 20 degrees. . Smoke filled car and portion of seat melted (vinyl) while trunk was being loaded with lugage. Turned heater off and aired out car.
