Two problems related to front suspension upper arm have been reported for the 1998 Audi A4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer requested for recall repair reimbursement for work performed on the 1998 Audi A4 lower control arms. All 4 upper control arms and one bolt on the right side was replaced.
Right front upper control arm broke. It may cause wheel to fall and result in a crash. There is a national back order on parts, and dealer was aware of the problem, and said tha t a new design of the control arm is on the way. But mamufacturer does not admit to the problem.
