Two problems related to steering have been reported for the 2007 Audi A4. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2007 Audi A4 based on all problems reported for the 2007 A4.
They have a design defect which allows water to get into the cabin via the moon roof. They also have an electrical motherboard under the drivers feet (comfort control module) that shorts out when it gets wet (which is easy when the rain comes in from the faulty moon roof). Now I cannot un/lock my doors, operate my windows open/closed, etc. And I believe it has negatively effected my ability for brake lights to function properly. This is a widespread issue, not just on mine. They were even class action sued for the same issue with a different year model (and settled out of court, but I was not an owner of the other car year). Please help. Thank you.
On 6/10/2014, I drove my 2007 Audi A4 a few miles to a local business and parked. On attempting to restart the car I found that the ignition key spun in the ignition cylinder assembly. It took approximately two minutes of spinning and light pushing for key the mechanism to reengaged, and the car to restart. During the time the key was spinning it was fully engaged with the lock, but spun in-place with the engine not starting. Took car to certified Audi dealer on 6/16 for diagnosis and the recommendation to replace the ignition cylinder assembly. Contacted Audi of America on 6/30 regarding safety incident.
