Both rear seat latches/locks (that allow the rear seats to be folded down) have failed allowing the rear seat back rest to fold down during rapid deceleration. The passenger side failed first approximately 1 year ago and now driver side has failed. Rear passengers could be insured in an accident if rear seat backrest is unsecured.

I had just gone to the grocery store and was unloading the back seat of the car when I noticed that the seat belt buckles were not visible through the slots of the seats anymore. I tried to feel for them and was unsuccessful. I then noticed that the entire seat was too far forward and the curved part at the back of the seat was no longer tucked to the seat back. As I was trying to see if I could put it back into position the seat completely dislodged from the car and the glue that was supposed to be attaching the seat to the car, the wiring and even part of the car itself was visible.

Driver's seat controls do not conform to car's manual. Car manual specifies a separate "lumbar" support knob. While driving I turned what I assumed was the lumbar support and found it to be the knob controlling the angle of the back seat, causing a momentary jolt, disrupting my concentration and thereby constituting a safety hazard. It turns out, there is no separate knob to control the lumbar pressure, contrary to the description in the manual.
