There currently exists a recall (24t-009) on the continental procontact GX ao 255/35r19 96h xl tire which was the oem tire on some my21+ Audi A4/a5s. The recall was the result of the compound used on the inner and outer edges improperly dissipating heat, resulting in premature wear, and belt breakage. I have a 2023 Audi A4, waueaaf44pn022399 which has the oe continental procontact GX ao 245/40r18 97h xl on it, and at 26,500 miles on the vehicle, all 4 of the tires require replacement due to significant wear on the inner and outer edges. All maintenance and service intervals were completed early or on time by the certified Audi dealer. All 4 tires show normal and safe tread wear with the exception of the inner and outer edges. There are no known mechanical defects or issues with the vehicle, and the adas system functions properly and without issue, so there is certainly no alignment issue significant enough for a system fault. I am concerned that the continental procontact GX ao 245/40r18 97h xl tires suffer from the same defect as those in NHTSA recall 24t-009 and that if not replaced due to premature wear, will create a risk of injury and death.

I had just put $35 in gassed the car still said I needed gas and that I had zero miles left of gas I made a trip that was about 45 miles in distance. My car was then parked and turned off for about 3 to 4 hours then it had trouble starting at first but turned on and I proceeded onto the freeway which was across the street from the parking lot I parked inside of. It was about 9:00 pm and thankfully there was not a lot of cars out. The entrance of this freeway consist of one medium sized steep hill which remains traveling upward onto a mountain when my car suddenly shut off my 3 year old daughter and I were in the car and thankfully we were on the last lane due to the fact that we were barely entering the freeway. I parked on the right side skirt I had just replaced that battery earlier that week (no more than 5 day before). I had a small gas can in my trunk and had someone go to the gas station and bring me the gallon of gas which I emptied into my car and it turned on. At times the car does smell like gasoline especially if I just put gas. It doesn't matter how much gas I fill up my tank with it will indicate I have 0 miles of gas in the screen and the fuel gauge will not go below the middle indicator and will never show above 3/4 full. My tpmsa is always indicating a problem when the I have a mechanic see it and he assured me it's in good condition.

The front wheel bearings were making noise @ 76,756 miles, while driving on the open road, so both were changed out. Upon checking the internet I found TSB no. 401548 referring to the problem in many Audi models from 2009-2016. With this extensive problem, a recall should be enforced. A month later @ 78998 miles the electronic rack and pinion steering started to make a rubbing noise when turned, sitting or traveling and an on board red notice came up indicating steering problem seek professional help. The unit was electrically diagnosed with a failed air bag clockspring and an electronic steering gear assembly. The codes were entered and the rack and clockspring were reprogrammed to the vehicle once installed, solving the problem. This also seems to be an inherent problem in this vehicle, since the mechanic had know of two other already this year. The car did drive fine with the old rack and pinion in it.

I leased my Audi A4 in June 2017 and I took my car to dealer for the first service at 8000 miles and they said I need to replace all 4 tires as tires has no more life in it. Later, I checked with the other dealer and they said the same thing. I had continental sportcontact 6 r02 bw 245/35r19 93y tires. There must be something wrong with these tires or quality of these tires are really bad. Audi do not take responsibility as they say contact continental. Why would Audi put such bad tires if they would not even last for 8000 miles?.
Takata recall or NHTSA campaign id 14v66700 I was in an accident July 13 2018. My car's airbags did not deploy, 3 other cars involved in the accident airbags did deploy. Fireman at the scene told me "there is a recall on your car, did you know?" my market valuation report as my car was totaled, states there is a recall on this car. It states due to an improper algorithm in the airbag control module, if a crash necessitates deployment of the side airbags, a second impact to the front of the vehicle may not command the front air bags to also deploy and as a consequence further states, if the front air bags do not deploy in the event of a secondary impact to the front of the vehicle, there is an increased risk of occupant injury. Traffic was stopped on the highway and you could clearly see brake lights and the slowing of traffic for quite a distance. I travel this area regularly and am aware of the construction that causes traffice to slow. The truck ahead of me stopped, I was at a complete stop, the car behind me stopped then a a car hit me from behind, my car was pushed into another vehicle a car length ahead of me. My airbags did not deploy, my head hit the steering wheel. My car was also pushed sideways into the concrete divider. When I read the recall, it is exactly what happened in my car. My car was manufactured October 28, 2014. Why did they not deploy? please advise as this was a serious situation and I am dealing with a brain injury. There was a fatality as well.

I had two tire side wall defects that resulted in "ballooning" of the side of the tire. The tires are pirelli 245/40/ r-18. The car has 12,500 miles only. I found out the first big balloon at home and next day noticed the second one smaller but growing.
Tires will not hold air pressure. December 2014 driving alone tire blow out while driving 55 mph on cold evening (10 degrees f), hwy 19 south bound. Tpms light came on seconds before tire blow out. Called Audi roadside assistance. Record available. Replaced with same perelli p6 - 245x40rx18. Same issue. Tires do not hold pressure. October 11, 2015 had rims cleaned and tire/rim sealer applied to hold tire pressure. Same issue. Tires do not hold pressure. My spouce is very uncomfortable driving car that tires blow out and do not hold pressure. These tires should be inspected and recalled. Happy to help gets these tires off the road. Tl the contact owns a 2014 Audi A4. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle began to hesitate and an abnormal noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to three different dealers. The first dealer (Audi memphis, located at 1825 covington pike, memphis, TN 38128, (901) 388-8989) diagnosed that the control arm bushing and all four tires needed to be replaced. The second dealer (Audi west palm beach, located at 2101 okeechobee blvd, west palm beach, FL 33409, (561) 688-2000) diagnosed that the front passenger side wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The third dealer (Audi fort lauderdale, located at 1200 n federal hwy, fort lauderdale, FL 33304, (954) 876-4144) diagnosed that one of the rims was bent. The vehicle was not completely repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 55,000.
All four tpms sensors need replacing along with new tires. Right side motor mount is leaking fluid, and wipers streak. 80,616 mileage. In 2012 I bought new tires, wipers and regular oil changes. I'm disappointed that now I'm faced with a leaking motor mount. I take very good care of my car, I shouldn't have these major repair issues. Angie nash.
On 3-25- I bought a 2002 Audi A4 quattro from a local used car dealer. At the time of purchase the "check engine" light was on and the car could not pass inspection. The seller assured me that the car would pass inspection after he changed the catalytic converter. He held onto the car and a week later I got it back and the inspection sticker was affixed. Shortly thereafter while driving the car 20 mph down the street of dracut, MA the rear driver's-side rear wheel fell off. The dracut police responded and documented the incident. They called a tow truck and the car was returned to the seller. He suggested that his mechanic had failed to tighten the lug nuts after doing brake work on the rear brakes. . . The wheel was re-attached by the seller (or his mechanic). A few days later the "check engine" light came back on since the after-market converter failed and the car could not pass inspection. On another occasion the engine splashguard fell off the car outside the door of the seller. I left the car there. The splashguard was re-attached by the seller or his mechanic (with plastic ties, since he claimed he did not have the parts . . . Even though he had my car for over 24 hrs!). What if I had been driving the car when this occurred? in both cases I could have been killed or injured, and other people could have been killed or injured as well. I question if these are "isolated" incidents, and if this is an ongoing pattern of deceptive and unfair practices which are placing the citizenry health and safety at risk? I subsequently returned the vehicle to the seller and demanded a refund under the MA lemon law warranty. I was refunded my purchase price. The seller has refused to reimburse me my "incidental costs" as required by this law. I have sent the seller a demand letter and will pursue the matter in court if he does not reimburse the money I lost - a sum o $1738. 37.
Scratch less than credit card size on all 4 wheels of 2005 Audi A4 sedan with mileage of 22,603 driven on only n. Y. And CT. Streets claimed by Audi to be excess wear and assessment of $702. Wheels are probably defective or a scam to induce people to purchase a new vehicle and have the assessment waived.

With 33,000 miles on the vehicle: the standard alloy wheels corrode to the wheel hub over a period of 4 months. If the wheel is needed to be removed e. G. Flat tire or change from winter wheels, it will not come off with normal tools and conditions. The car must be elevated on a lift and the wheel pounded with extreme brute force to remove it. This has happened twice to me. I find it extremely unsafe that a flat tire can't be replaced without having a tow truck take the car to a shop--just to remove the wheel. The Audi technician says that if I use brake anti-seize product on the wheel/hub junction it may prevent it. [my question is "why didn't they apply this if they already knew it was needed].
