Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1998 Audi A6. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
This was my first day with heavy rain. Braking delayed (almost not working), as I approached a line of traffic. A bit scary, but the car did stop just not near the kind of responsiveness I would normally expect.
Braking system malfunctions when on slippery surfaces, driving straight and the brake pedal is lightly pressed. A single brake locks up causing the car to spin out of control.
When stepping on the brakes brakes malfuncioned, resultin gin increased stopping distance.
