One problem related to steering column has been reported for the 1999 Audi A6. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The heated steering wheel became too hot while being used and began to smoke. When the consumer turned the system off the heat subsided. The dealer wanted to replace the entire steering column instead of disconnecting the heating device.
