Manufacturer has advised to drive without a passenger "when possible" but I have no idea whether doing so is safe or if I'd be putting the vehicle occupants in significant danger. Manufacturer has been unhelpful and refuses to provide any additional information beyond contents of initial recall notice letter.

Takata recall: after receiving the recall notice in may 2016, I contacted Audi in September 2016 to find out the progress on resolving the airbag issue. They indicated that they had no solution and no timeframe for a solution. As of December 10, 2016, that still appears to be the case. I am concerned because the vehicle is 8 years old and we live near the coast in florida. As I understand it, the recall priority is based partly on vehicle age and humiditiy in the area where the vehicle is used. I am trying to get some idea as to when this will be resolved. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Harold small, jr. 7108 ashland glen lakewood ranch, FL 34202 hismalljr@aol. Com.
Takata recall: I have been waiting months for a remedy. The recall was in may, and this is August. I cannot drive with a passenger in my car, and this is very inconvenient.
Takata recall I just received recall notice from may 2016 and so far there is no remedy for repair or recall. My car is unsafe.
"takata recall".
Takata airbags I have contacted the dealer (larson Audi in tacoma, wa) and the Audi headquarters in the us. Audi is unconcerned that I have an unsafe car as verified by takata on their website airbagrecall, com. The only thing I am able to do is not drive the car. What do I need to do to get it repaired? this has been going on since last January.
