1 Power Assist Brake Vacuum problem of the 1998 Audi A6

Failure Date: 10/12/1999

Manufacturer's recall # ku brake booster and NHTSA recall( 99v248000),tie rods. Contacted manufacturer on October 12th. Dealer had no parts available for brake booster and tie rod recalls. This could result in a crash. After numerous calls to dealer's maintenance department to schedule service, consumer could not be told when parts would be available. Service department was informed that the vehicle was driven in temperatures mentioned in recall.

2 Power Assist Brake Vacuum problem of the 1999 Audi A6

Recall # 99v1314000 vw/brake booster; owner received recall notice in September. Dealer was contacted in October/ November and December, 1999. Dealer stated that no parts were available to perform recall repairs. Also, brakes woud malfunction while driving in temperatures of minus 4 degrees. Owner is having vehicle repaired.
