Seat Belt Problems of Audi A6

Takata recall - airbag replaced per recall but airbag light remains lit due to faulty seatbelt in rear center passenger seat. Faulty seat belt needs to be put under recall as this seems to be a common issue in the Audi.

The passenger seat belt and passenger airbag constantly beeps - the passenger airbag and seat belt beeps when the vehicle is in motion as well as if the vehicle is stationary. It beeps when I'm on the streets, highway as well as turning it's a constant beeping sound and it lights up with an orange color.

The contact owns a 2010 Audi A6. While driving 20 mph, another vehicle crashed into the front passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 75,000.

Blinking drivers side headlight. Audi has technical service bulletin and will not repair for free !! tere reasoning is is that I have over 100 k miles. I reported this to them when I had 62 k miles and they said it never blinked when they tested it (not true) this is a major safety hazard at night and they want to charge me over $1,000 dollars to fix. . . . This should be a recall as it is a safety issue!!!in fact Audi corporate is aware and are picking and choosing who gets the repair for free!.

Codes on vehicle record report generated by auto mechanic are as follows: 01212 belt tensioner igniter rear passenger side (n197) upper limit reached-intermittent, 01211 belt tensioner igniter rear driver side (n196) upper limit reached-intermittent. Replaced parts, light deactivated, test driven greater than 40 miles as of date of report.

I've been complaining about a ticking sound coming from this for the past 2 years and they said nothing was wrong. Now there are saying the same belt's locking mechanism is defective and needs to be replaced when it is 'out of warranty" .

I was driving and hit a medium sized bump. My seat beat lock and wouldn't release. I disengaged the belt and let it fully retract think that the lock would release. Belt remained lock in the fully retracted position. Seat belt inoperable.

I have an 1998 Audi A6, 2. 8l, v6, quattro, avant with a 115000 mls and my cars's rear seat, seat belt in (the middle passenger "belt shape, one") seat stop working and it is stuck in its open position about 15"-16" out. After talking to the Audi dealer near home they said, yeah not working but sorry out of warranty, I asked is this a safety issue for this car? they said no! its not! I am not sure about that. Is that ok a seat belt in rear seat hardly used by me break so easy?! I have seen many parents use this seat belt to secure there child's car seat to the car's seat? thank you.
