Wiper Problems of Audi A7

My 2019 Audi A7 was brought to Audi dallas on January 20, 2026, for a manufacturer safety recall involving a software update (recall 90tv / NHTSA 25v900). During or immediately following the recall repair, the vehicle developed persistent safety system failures, including rear backup camera malfunction and repeated safety warning alerts. As a result of these recall-related failures, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of approximately twenty-four (24) days. Audi and the authorized dealer have been unable to diagnose or permanently correct the issue despite extended possession of the vehicle and multiple repair attempts. The failure of the rear camera and related safety systems creates a clear safety risk, particularly during reversing and low-speed maneuvers, and defeats the purpose of the safety recall. Communication from the dealer has been delayed and ineffective, and Audi of America has not provided a timely resolution. I am reporting this issue because the recall repair appears to have introduced or failed to correct a safety defect, leaving the vehicle unreliable and unsafe to operate. I am requesting NHTSA review this matter for potential investigation, recall remedy inadequacy, or expanded corrective action.

In five years I have had my windshield chip or crack four times. Replacement is a pain and expensive. It seems the design is far too susceptible to breakage and is unsafe.

I have had four time windshield cracks. . There were no large impacts and it seems that the windshield material is extremely brittle and unsafe. Other vehicles under the same driving route and speed have never had windshield cracks, but my Audi has encountered four. This seems like a design/material defect.

Yesterday morning, while driving north on I-35 to work, there was a loud "pop" from directly above my windshield. This scared me to death! the sound was so frightening that I ducked and for a moment, I thought I had been involved in a wreck but quickly noticed nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. Typically, traffic is very heavy, only moving about 20mph. However, on this particular morning, traffic was somewhat lighter and moving about 40mph. I had clear visibility across the front window and could tell that nothing had flown in my direction. I was not trailing behind or around any suvs, dump trucks, or other large vehicles that could have kicked up a rock. I also had not driven under an overpass, so I knew nothing could have fallen from above. Once I arrived at work, I discovered the front section of my panoramic roof was cracked and shattered all the way across the width of the vehicle and pressed inward, exposing the interior lining.
