My cars rack and pinion went out with the mileage just over 100,000 miles and I was told that this is a problematic something to do with the inappropriate silicone. Spending $85,000 on a car you would think that this is not something you would have to experience. The car was making a little bit of noise, turning left or right couple days later than it completely went out on me and had to drive the car like I was driving a vehicle with no power steering.

Audi, A8l 2013, also has the stuck piston. Rings end oil blow by like the other Volkswagen, defected engines of the same year yesterday while driving my car ended up stalling on a road with traffic behind me going up a hill because too much oil I'd burnt in the cylinders, causing the spark plugs to become completely coated in oil and the cars. Electronic system registered multiple misfires, multiple cylinders. Are misfired and multiple other safety epc codes, causing the vehicle to not be able to drive more than 5 miles an hour, stuttering. Which also caused the engine to almost stall, losing power steering. If this was on the highway this could have been exceptionally bad. I request the Audi ah. L and 8 series to be added to the current recall. For the a6q5a4 a seven with the exact same problem.

Me and my son were traveling on a business road trip from my home in Lincoln, CA to do business at several companies and end up at a customer located in anaheim, CA. We started on highway 5 in roseville, CA highway interstate 5 traveling towards anaheim with stops along the way. We were coming down highway 5 on the southside of the grapevine at the speed limit of 70 mph, when the engine began to stall, and the steering also began to lock up. We began losing control of the vehicle and engine power was failing and stalling. In addition, the stall was impacting the car battery. We had difficulty steering the car and controlling the direction of the car and getting the car to the side of the road. Once we were at the side of the road, we looked up the closest Audi dealership, fortunately we were 3. 9 miles away from Audi dealership in van nuys, CA. Once on the side of the road the vehicle initially would not restart the engine stalling had drained the battery. We waited on the side of the road for approx. . 40 minutes and were able to restart the car and drive with much difficulty to the keys Audi van nuys dealership. We were able to barely get into the dealership parking lot when the car completely stalled, we went in and met with the service manager. We explained what had happened, and with the service teams help we pushed the vehicle into a bay to get reviewed. I have purchased eight (8) Audi’s over the past years for me and my wife. The service manager promised to review the problem. Typically, Audi service will give you a vehicle to drive but the had no vehicles available, so they told us they would take us to a rental car company and cover the cost of the vehicle except for the insurance on rental car, which we had to pickup at a rate of $ 35. 00 per day. As we were on a work trip we had to hustle to our customers as we had a meeting scheduled for 2:30 pm at manna beverage in anaheim, CA. We went to our meeting and then returned to the Audi dealership in van nuys.
Hello, on April 6th, 2023, at 12 pm, my car experienced a electrical malfunction within the start/stop system, which didn’t posed an immediate threat to my life. Later that day, the car stalled on me while driving, causing a highly dangerous situation on a busy street during peak traffic hours. Multiple error codes appeared, and the transmission failed, leaving me in a perilous position. It is alarming that Audi is aware of this life-threatening issue, yet no recall has been issued thus far. I urge NHTSA to take swift action and hold Audi accountable for this critical failure, which endangers not only my life but the lives of others on the road. Please refer to the link below for evidence supporting my claim. The issue is widespread, affecting various models of Audi, including the 2019 a6, a7, and A8. . Read more...

Turbos failed. Was traveling home on a highway, when I pulled off the engine suddenly stalls out and loss of steering occurs as the engine system automatically puts you in park. Switching to neutral leads to a very 'leaden'/heavy driving feeling (kind of like with no power steering, but a little better). Able to get it restarted again with some effort. Car will stall out at any point in time when rpm is 1200 or less (you have about . 25s to get it back out of that range or it stalls again). Power is sluggish. To avoid stalls, shifts must be rapid and neutral-shift+gas needs to be applied to prevent rpm from being below 1200. Made it home safely, but had it towed to dealership. Dealership notified me that it was a turbo failure, both impellers have become lodged in the side of turbo casing and are stalled out. Nothing preceded this; no engine lights or anything. Effect was sudden and drastic. Temperatures were fine. Attempt to drive to repair shop led to total loss of coolant. It is believed this is a seperate issue.

Driving home from church, heard a rattle, like a stick was stuck underneath. Then felt loss of power. No warning/engine check light, but car stalled while I was turning left off a highway. When car stalled I had no warning, and no steering or brakes. Husband was able to assist with getting care off road and out of oncoming traffic. We were worried about being able to avoid pedestrians at the corner as we had no control and they did not seem to be aware of the emergency. Looked online and saw lots of similar stories. Exactly like what happened to us. Mechanic says turbo chargers failed. One is sheered off and one is rubbed/failing. Audi quoted us $14,000 to repair. Car is at 80,700 miles which seems to be 700 miles out of warrantee. All service work has been done by Audi and recorded. Audi is unwilling to help with this issue. This has to be the most scary incident driving I have ever had. It was shocking that there was no warning. And I lost both steering and braking assist while crossing a travel lane and making a turn. It appears that Audi is aware that they have filter/check valve issues for the turbo charger oil supply. They have since upgraded these parts but have failed to replace the faulty parts when cars like ours go in for service. They have also failed to warn people of this potential hazard. We have called Audi corporate and they say there is nothing they can do to help.
Without notice, steering ceased to function while car was in motion. This failure occurred in a retail parking lot.

Car vibrates at almost any speed other than idle. I have had the car back to the dealer several times. The vibration can be felt through the steering wheel, the seats and on the dashboard. I can't get the car fixed. I have asked Audi to replace the car if they can't fix it. No response. I had 5 Audi A8's in the past and never experienced any such problem I am almost afraid to drive the car. I leased the car for 15,000 miles per year and only have 7800 miles in 11 months because of this fear.
