Wiper Problems of Audi A8

Water leaking from passenger side top right corner from windshield. Glass isn’t damaged. Just started leaking for no reason.

Vehicle windshield started leaking from top and visibly moves when pressed from outside. This is the original windshield, never in an accident.

Sunglasses holder will not stay closed and falls down blocking my rearview mirror. Tried several times to close it and it will not close. I cannot see clearly out of my rearview mirror which is hazardous to my driving when trying to switch lanes and/or tell how close someone is to my bumper to prevent my car from being rear ended. At 69946 miles it started leaking water when raining from top of windshield in the middle by the rear view mirror,on top of all electronic components. From that incident car is not running,because water got on to all kind of electronics that control engine,transmission,radio. . . . . . . When I did research,find out that its know problem with those vehicles and im not the first one with this problem.

Issue with the windshield leaking profusely. This led to moisture issues inside the car when driving in the rain, which could present a serious visibility hazard. There are also numerous electrical components (major vehicle control and diagnostic modules) located in the tracking path of the water which could cause serious issues to the drivability and safety of the vehicle if in motion. Upon replacement of the windshield it was discovered that there was a complete section of the windshield sealant missing along the top edge of the windshield, near the rear view mirror on the passenger side. I am a member of several Audi vehicle forums and this is a well known and documented issue there. I just wanted to make this agency aware of the issue before anyone got seriously hurt or killed due to not being able to see while driving down the road.

I've recently had to replace both high pressure fuel pumps and cam followers at cost to myself even though Audi extended the warranty due to premature failures on several Audis. Apparently my VIN wasn't in the list . I tried calling aoa for any assistance but was told because I only own one(apparently brand loyalty means buying 2 at a time) and I bought it from an independent dealer there was nothing they could do. I get all my work done at the local Audi dealer. Since then I have also had to replace my windshield due to the seals failing and leaving me with a water fall in my car(I seen several people affected in forums). Not to mention the short in my mmi screen and tail light(some of the leds are out and the extended warranty I had refused to cover) that needs to be fixed but has to be put on hold due to my thermostat failing. I only have 113,950 miles and have been getting regular service. I have had many cars over the years and never had this many problems. Between the problems I'm having and the comments made by Audi of America this may be my first and last Audi.

The windshield wipers will stop intermittently. They have stopped during heavy rain on an expressway several times resulting in a loss of vision. The dealers could not get the problem to repeat so they said that they couldn't do anything. I called the Audi advocate phone line and was told that Audi would not address the issue. Then I wrote Audi and ask for a refund and the Audi advocate returned the call and maintained the same response.
