Door Latch problem #1

The contact owns a 2024 Audi Q3. The contact stated that doors automatically locked when driving about 8 mph. The contact was unable to unlock the doors from inside the vehicle. The contract stated that people outside cannot unlock the doors. The contact stated that it was impossible to unlock the doors when the speedometer reached 8 mph. The contact unlocked the doors, but they relocked automatically. The contact was concerned about being locked in the vehicle and no one outside would be able to unlock the doors. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who confirmed the factory settings cannot be changed. The failure mileage was 0.

Door Latch problem #2

The contact owns a 2015 Audi Q3. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side door locking mechanism intermittently failed, and the door could not be opened from the inside or outside of the vehicle. The contact indicated that when the failure occurred the door could not be unlocked manually or while using the key fob. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the door actuator was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,000.
