Recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership that there is a major issue with the drive train including the cv axel and also an issue with the tires that are on the vehicle. One of the tires had gone flat so I took it to the local les schwab to have it inspected and was told that I could not repaired it and that they could not sell me and put on the one tire because the vehicle manufacturer size was not met and that it can cause a danger on my 2015 Audi Q5 premium plus. The tire size that was on the vehicle that was purchased is 255/35zr19, the manufacturers size is 235/55r19 per the les schwab it can damage the vehicle and decrease the performance of the function of the vehicle which also impacts the speedometer reading and also the mileage tracking adding additional strain on the vehicle as well as decreasing its value faster. The vehicle is an all-wheel drive car and have the incorrect size is a safety concern as well as increasing the amount of mile that are driven that are artificial, also messing with the speedometer reading to have to go 10 mile over the limit to make it go the correct speed, this makes the computer think the vehicle is driving more mile than it is. I have informed the dealer of the issues, and they have refused to help and state that there is nothing to be concerned about. This information was not disclosed to me when purchasing the vehicle.
Tpms (tire pressure monitoring) erroneously lights up, hence, incorrectly disabling all the safety driving features of the vehicle. We have already checked this with Audi. Audi has confirmed to us that there is a defect and that they are working on a fix which is due as of sept'2024 (estimated). A pps has been created. This is dangerous as the system disables all safe driving features like abs, traction control etc. . The moment tpms error activates up incorrectly.
I was driving down the road when the steering stop working and I could not control the direction that the tires moved. The direction of steering would not respond to my movements and I was unable to control the car. I was able to break and bring the car to a stop, however, if I were moving at a much faster speed this would have been extremely dangerous. I brought the car to our mechanic and we were informed that the tie rods were broken, the threading on the attachment pieces was completely rusted out and the threads were bare. The piece simply came apart and was malfunctioning. No warning signs or service lights came on in the vehicle before this happened and we had no indication that there would be an issue with the steering when operating the vehicle. Our mechanic told us this was one of the most dangerous things he's ever seen happen in a car and that our life was at risk. We regularly have our car inspected and serviced and there was no indication that this would happen. Our car had a major engine problem in August 2023 and was at the valenti Audi dealership in waterbury, CT, during that time the car was inspected and we were not told the tie-rods had any problems.
My dealership informed me that my tires were feathering at the edges and wearing unevenly. I found information that there was a recall for this problem. There was a recall (4215) that stated there was a misalignment in the suspension creating the uneven wearing. This included my car model. I need information regarding why my car isn't listed for the recall. The car does have a weird skip in making hard turns.
Brand new vehicle with less than 1000 miles. Whenever I take an exit from highyway vehicle's rear wheel slips and shakes. It shakes and slips when I change lanes in a curvy highway such as hardy toll road in houston. Happened several times. I am taking it to the dealer this week to have it checked out. I suspect that a recall may be needed here!.
Leased new 2021 Audi Q5 from Audi of coral springs , FL on Aug 17, 2021. We had the vehicle serviced on 12-24-2022 and where notifed that during the inspection that all 4 tires needed to be replaced and where shocked because our Audi only had about 13,000 miles on the odometer. We asked how to get coverage under our new car warranty and where once again shocked when the service rep informed us that Audi doedsnt warrant the tires and we woud have to file a claim with the tire manufacturer kumho tires. We called kuhmo direct at 800-445-8646 who instructed us one of their licensed dealers. We took the Audi to discount tires 2629 weston rd weston ,FL with kumho tires ref #36136. Discount tires did their inspection and called us back the next day. . . . . . Notifying us kuhmo tires would not honor warranty because we where a third party. I cleed kuhmo direct and asked them to expalin how iwas considered a third party. . . . . Kuhmo stated they are the first party, Audi is the second party and I was considedred the third party. So I asked if Audi wasn't liable and kuhmo was n't liable. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Who warants the tires on a brand new car??? I asked them why their own warranty card on kuhmo tires (size 235/55 r19 101h) carries a 60,000 warranty and our Audi had app 13,000 miles how they could deny coverage. I think their process is wrong and needs to be examined, this process really hurts consumers when neither Audi or kuhmo will accept liability. Looking for assistance in purchasing 4 new tires from Audi and or kuhmo tires.
My 2021 Audi Q5 has a manufacturing recall (safety recall 42l1 - rear axle trailing arm lock nut) on it and my dealer cancelled my appointment and informed me that they will not perform the recall repair unless I schedule (something that I have to pay for) at the same time - they will not perform the recall repair otherwise. This was the Audi minneapolis dealership located at 9393 wayzata blvd, golden valley, mn 55426. I was told that this needed to be reported to you guys.
Audi USA issued a safety recall for the wheel wells of my car, and despite my repeated attempts over the past several months to get Audi san francisco to schedule an appointment to complete the repair, they have not returned my calls or scheduled an appointment to fix the problem. I'm concerned that I'm driving around with a safety issue, and Audi san francisco doesn't seem to care or to be living up to their responsibility to fix safety recall issues as soon as possible.
On July 16, 2019 when my wife was driving 2018 Audi a5 one of the rims blow off (cracked) fortunately, my wife was not injured since it was the rear rim, she was able to maintain control of the car. There is no external damage to the rim or tire typical marks when you hit pothole on the road. I believe it is manufacture issue of the rims. I sent written compliant regarding safety of driving this car to Audi USA and asked for investigation. Knowing the other three rims are from the same manufacture batch I would expect Audi USA will at least investigate this issue. After almost four weeks I have been informed by representative from Audi customer experience center that complain I filed has been decline base of two evidences. Evidence one: pictures I provided and evidence two: my feedback from visiting the authorized Audi dealer chosen by Audi customer experience center the person I visited even didn't ask for my name, check the VIN # or miles on the car all what he ask do you purchased additional insurance for rims and tiers.
Tl the contact owns a 2018 Audi Q5. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19v416000 (wheels). The contact stated that royal auto group service (located at 1525 howard st, san francisco, CA 94103, (415) 241-8100) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified. The dealer stated that the part was not available for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Yesterday while driving on us hwy 41 in marquette, michigan (below the posted speed limit - I was traveling at 40 mph) and while braking for a traffic light the vehicle lost traction and did not enter the skid control mode. Upon approaching the signal to a stop, the vehicle skid into the adjacent right lane. There was no car in the adjacent right lane and no collision. My Audi is equipped with Audi's recommended winter wheels and winter tires (Audi winter wheel and tire package number: npn071069), I strongly suspect that the dealer's recommendation to match the winter tire pressure to that of the all-season oem tires cause the winter tires to be over-inflated, and thus not make proper contact with the road. . When driving, there was no indicator light illuminating to alert us of low tire pressure or a flat tire. After driving for 2-3 miles, with no flat tire indication, we smelled a burning odor and heard loud noises. We stopped to see a flat tire down to the rim. There was never a warning light on the dash board about a tire problem. Audi says that the light only illuminates at the first time the tire pressure goes low and never illuminates again. We never saw this first indicator light and when we drove on a dark rural road - we had the flat tire described above, without any indicator lights illuminated. If we had ever seen any indication ( visually, or in the handling of the car)we never would have driven on a dark evening. We were left to wait alone on this dark road until 1 hour when aaa arrived. Both the dealership in albany, NY and Audi corporate states that no light remains illuminated - we have never had a car without the tire pressure light staying on until you get the tire fixed. The light always stayed on and this is a new design in the 2018 Audi Q5. I think it is a design flaw and can cause the possiblity of a dangerous tire blowout that could cause swerving into another lane, and/or a worse more dangerous situation. We were driving on a rural upstate NY road going straight. There was absolutely no indication to us that our tire was loosing pressure and would go completely flat. This was a horrifying experience for us as we are experienced and competent drivers and have never had this lack of alert on a car in many years of driving.
Few days ago, I was driving the car( usually my wife is driving it) stopped to a stop light, actually I tried to stop, but, the car was still moving. At the same time, I noticed a very high engine revs, and the car was moving, even with me pressing hard the breaks. Luckily, we got green light, and nothing major happened. But, the worst part is that, I noticed, above the front wheels, some suspension components, parts, nuts, at only 5 mm or less. Is right above the front wheels. It is not on the side, as supposed to be. The clearance between that part and the wheels should be a lot more. To me, is not safe at all. There is a recall about it? it safe to drive? to me looks not.
The tire pressure management system failed to alert that the left rear (driver's) side tire developed a slow leak. As a result, the tire was driven with dangerously low tire pressure. The tire was ruined and had to be replaced. The tpms did register a tire pressure fault when a new tire was mounted.
