At approximately 54k miles the cooling system pump was diagnosed by the Audi dealer that it was leaking. I had to have the pump and all associated parts replaced. This is a common failure with this model. I believe Audi is using inferior pumps.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2018

The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 18v229000 ( engine & engine cooling ) and stated that the manufacturer had exceeded the reasonable amount of time to repair the vehicle. The dealer Audi coral springs 5555 sr 7 coral springs florida 33067, confirmed that parts are not available to perform the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue.
