Vehicle stability while driving on automatic driving /lane keeping system failed 3 times almost causing vehicle to loose control and crash. On 4 other occasions the vehicles lane keeping failed to keep between lanes and instead vear vehicle in different steering directions, forcing me to pull against the stearing wheel to go back straight. Audi America and local dealer continue to say everything is ok but on all three occasions I had witnesses in my car.

5 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2019 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 08/03/2019

I was going approximately 55 miles per hour in the center lane on the interstate. Shortly after shifting the car into sport mode, the vehicie had sequential malfunction notifications appear on my screen. The specific order is difficult to remember due to the rapidness of the whole situation. The malfunctions appearing on the screen over the steering wheel were: traction control malfunction, tpms (tire pressure monitoring system malfunction, parking brake malfunction, automatic start/stop system: malfunction, start/stop system: malfunction, and a drive system: malfunction. The majority of these warnings said to please contact service. While the malfunctions appeared the engine of my car stopped working, acceleration stopped working, and the engine did not maintain the current speed. The vehicle essentially died at highway speed while I was travelling in the middle lane. I turned on my hazard lights and was able to coast to the shoulder (after other drivers allowed me over). Once stopped I turned off the car, pressed the start/stop button which resulted in a repeat of the start/stop malfunction indicator, and it instructed me to manually start. I then pressed the button off and back on again, the car then restarted. The car shifted into drive and I took it immediately to the local Audi dealership.

6 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 12/13/2018

I was taking a u-turn under a freeway in my 10 month old Audi Q7. As I was finishing the u-turn a stabilization error message appeared and my brakes went out. I was finishing my uturn and couldn't slow down soi ended up running into the cement barrier with my right back wheel and went onto the feeder. Luckily it was at 5am so no other cars were on the road. Hitting the barrier slowed by car down to 5 mph. As I straightened out my car, the brakes started working again. I had the car towed to the dealership. The dealership said Audi of America had to look at it. The engineer finally came to look at it on Jan 3rd (3 weeks after the accident). He said that they couldn't test drive the car because the control arm was broken but the tests they ran showed that nothing was wrong with the car and told me to call my insurance. I asked how they knew nothing was wrong and they said tests were run. I asked how they explained the error messages (stabilization error and safety error). They said those came up after the accident. They don't the time of the accident so how do they know this?. I took pictures of the error messages and know the timing of that. I asked for a print out of their findings 3 times. It has been 10 days and I still have not gotten anything from them. The car is still sitting at the dealership.

7 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 11/02/2018

Multiple warning lights come on at the same time including transmission, engine, abs, esp, air bag and tpms, while these lights are on vehicle hesitates and looses complete power, this condition happened in the middle of the highway and almost caused an accident, had to tow the vahicle home and eventually to my local Audi dealership. I found on line technical bulletin sb-10053894-9766 which describes the exact sympthoms my vehicle is having, I strogly believe this should be a recall rather then a TSB.

8 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 09/15/2017

1. Driving 2017 Audi Q7 (mileage 17017) on I-85 close to the richmond, va. Dry, straight and no traffic road. 2. Both hands keep on steel wheel, car lost control, lane keep did not work, tried used the steel wheel to adjust, the steel wheel over response. 3. The car went to left and right, rollover, and crash. 4. Had sent car in dealership two times to repairing auto brake problems (this car did not stop but speed up even front car very close, I need use brake to prevent forward collision multiple times), still did not fixed, went on 7/8/2017 without appointment, dealer schedule full. 6. One time to repairing safety surround-view exterior camera. Three time recalls repair. 7. Car had multiple time error messages in 17 months, such as adaptive cruise control unavailable, Audi pre-sense currently restricted. 8. Car add on multiple safety features, Q7 premium plus with enhanced safety features driver assistance package (adaptive cruise control, Audi active lane assist, high-beam assistant, improved forward collision mitigation system, Audi pre-sense). 9. Vision package (Audi virtual cockpit, full led headlights, surround-view camera, pedestrian detection, night vision, rear cross-traffic detection, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition). 10. We added the enhanced safety features in Audi Q7, but just one year and five months, in the straight and dry road, no traffic and no reason, still in warranty period, car crashed, and total lose. The car has more safety features than any my other cars but provides much less safety, my wife and I almost lose our life.

9 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 07/16/2017

When the steering wheel is turned there is a squeaky sound as if something is rubbing against some other thing. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't figure out the problem but did recognize the issue. They changed the whole suspension and the electrical steering system but the noise is still there. I took my car back from and was on a vacation when noticed large amount of smoke coming from below the vehicle. I parked the car on the side and checked for fire but there was none. I let the car cool down and then parked the car in the hotel. Later I drove back home and had a similar issue of smoke coming from below the car. I have dropped the car for the third time in the last 1. 5 months to the dealership. It appears that there is some kind of manufacturing fault in it or it's a lemon that they sold to me. The car was stationery when the smoke was noticed but I believe that the smoke must be there even in motion as well. The squeaky sound comes when the car is in motion at low speed specifically when turning.

10 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2012 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 06/03/2016

Pulling out making a left turn from a stop, vehicle suddenly hesitated, power to engine was intermittent and jerky, and acceleration was poor to none. Many warning lights came on (stability, tire pressure, anti-lock, etc. ). Steering wheel was also shaking slightly (power steering motor?). Condition continued for about a mile while vehicle proceeded to home. Turning vehicle off and on resolved the problem. On initial call to dealership I was told "they do that sometimes; you need to turn off/on to reboot system". After taking for service four days later no issues were found other than some "misfiring" codes on date of event. I was told this was not a situation they've seen and no service bulletins existed on the behavior. As the initial problem continued until car was turned off/on it seems likely that the initial information from the dealership was correct and this is a computer control problem. We have owned the car since new and not experienced this issue before. The car currently has about 60k miles on it. Fortunately there were no injuries but a loss of power pulling into traffic is a very serious failure. If this is something that "happens sometimes and you need to turn the vehicle off/on to reboot the computer", it needs attention and needs to be rectified as a single occurrence is one too many.

11 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 05/16/2016

My vehicle completely shut down while I was driving it 60 mph behind a semi truck and between two cement barriers. I have it on video, it is one of my problems I had with my car to say the least. It happened once more while I was not moving, had it in the Audi dealer for the second time. After I brought it home, it wouldn't shut down. I also have that on video. The videos are too large to upload, but everyone that drives an Audi should see these. I am glad I am alive to tell my story.

12 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2008 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 01/08/2015

The car was slipping on ice when there was not that much ice. Then I was told it has an issue with an abs control module. The part is over $2500 and the car does not even have 70 000 miles. Vw has recalled this part and so should Audi before injuries and deaths occur.

13 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2007 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 01/06/2014

Car stalled while driving on highway and esp/abs light came on - was told by dealer will have to replace the entire abs control module for $2800! to diagnose this took 2 days for the dealer and even then they are not 100% sure the replacement will fix the abs issue. Have already paid 500+ in labor diagnosis!.

14 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2007 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 07/28/2010

Audi Q7 4. 2l with 34200 miles lost rpm on highway, speed suddenly dropped from 62mph to 22 mph, when esp light came on and engaged the abs. The car behind could barely stop, disturbing the entire traffic. Frequent problems with the esp (electronic stabilization program), the esp light will come on and off multiple times, mostly on, along with the malfunction indicator lamp. When esp light comes on, the car is jerking and it involves the abs (anti-lock brake system), although the weather/streets conditions are very good (dry, paved streets, summer sunny days). Took car to the dealer 3 times, did not fix the problem. I was told I am the first one who experienced this kind of problem, and that I am the "guinea pig" for them. It is clear that this car represents a great potential danger while in traffic. Today, I was almost involved in an accident. How about tomorrow? do we need more "guinea pigs"?.

15 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2007 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 12/17/2008

I currently own a 2007 Audi Q7 3. 6 and believe there is a safety issue with all 2007 3. 6 vehicles. The vehicle is advertised to have the towing ability to tow up to 6600lbs. On three separate occasions while towing a 435lb aluminum trailer the check engine light came on along with the epc (electronic power control) light and the car goes into a safe mode which will not allow you to go over 3000rpms. This problem only occurs while towing for over an hour but when the safe mode is installed the car has no power and with a trailer still hooked up the car has trouble going over 45mph. This is a very dangerous situation especially on the highway when trucks are passing you doing 70mph. My Q7 was in the dealership three times for this problem and I'm still not satisfied that the problem has been corrected. They downloaded new software to my engine control module which changes the performance of my car but I believe anyone who owns this same vehicle and attempts to tow will find themselves in the same dangerous situation. Most people don't use this type of car to tow with even though they advertise this as a selling point. All 2007 Q7 3. 6 vehicles should be tested and have the updated software installed in there car before someone gets hurt.

16 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2007 Audi Q7

Failure Date: 10/01/2008

While driving in dry/fair weather conditions and at highway speeds (50 and 70 mph) the esp warning light came on and engaged the abs system for no apparent reason. It created a loss of control of the Audi Q7 4. 2 until I turned off the esp system as I exited the freeway to stop and then restart the vehicle. This has happened three times in the pasted 100 miles and 3 months. The selling dealer found no codes and nothing has been resolved. This is not a safe situation for me, and Audi has offered no solution to the dealer tech to date.
