The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the message “emergency vehicle malfunction" displayed and the vehicle began to sputter and hesitate before stalling. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired.
