My car has suddenly tried to stop in the middle of an interstate highway. It happens when the adaptive cruise control is active. Even though the lane in front of the car is clear, a warning sign appears in the dash that the pathway is obstructed and the car tries to stop quickly. This has happened on this vehicle four times now. It happened on my previous Audi as well. At that time, the car was taken off the highway and the dealer would not return it to me for a period of six weeks. During this last incident, the dealer said that they searched the information in the car. I had provided the odometer reading and date to the dealer when it happened. I was told that there was no information found about any malfunction. Of course the car thinks that there is an obstruction there in front of me and thinks it is properly functioning and now error message is created. This creates an extreme hazard for accident on a busy highway. It is a recurring problem and should be investigated. I have uploaded a picture of the error message displayed in the instrument cluster. This is not a trivial problem.

The instrument cluster failed as was reported in a previous recall. This failure was caused by a hardware problem which was fixed via a software update. Unfortunately, the hardware (instrument cluster) has already been compromised and warning lights are all lit up and some warnings aren't working and the instrument panel still goes blank when driving.

In correspondence with recall number 25v201, the virtual cockpit display would go blank while driving, hiding all driver assistance indicators/instruments. Unable to verify engine speed unless looking at the heads up display, but adaptive cruise control/forward collision warnings won’t display. Upon parking and restarting vehicle, the display would work, but will intermittently go blank after some time while resuming driving. Called local dealership and they are aware of issue but since a repair is unavailable, out of pocket costs would be incurred. There have not been any inspections but I’ve scanned the vehicle for error code b200049, documented in previous Audi tsbs related to the virtual cockpit display issue. There were no warnings or indications, prior to the event which occurred less than a week after recall number 25v201 had started.
While driving, forward collision warning appears without any reason. My understanding is that the car will brake itself if it senses frontal collosion and I am concerned that it might brake suddenly without my knowledge and cause an accident.

The problem occurs when making a left-hand turn. I'm in the left-hand turn lane waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. When it is clear, I proceed with my left-hand turn. After a short distance, the forward collision warning indicator flashes, the brakes are applied very hard, and the car stalls. I am often left in the oncoming lane, with a stalled car. I have to put it in park, start it then put it into drive to move forward again. This takes a bit of time. This is 1) very startling, 2) makes it likely for me to be rear-ended, and 3) my car can easily be hit head-on by a car in the oncoming lane. I luckily have not been in an accident yet. This has occurred at least 5 times, with one additional time, the indicator and brakes being applied but the car did not stall. The dealer has been notified twice about this problem, and says there is no known solution they know about. This is a very serious problem. In all instances, there are no cars in sight in the oncoming lanes. These are all false alarms. The fact that there has not been a read-end collision yet is very surprising.

2017 Audi Q7 3. 0 qtro--while traveling to FL, the pre sense warning light indicating failure began flickering on and off. Within several weeks, it was on constantly. Subsequently, a "whooping" sound became constant in the pillar behind the driver side door. Upon returning to OH, I reported this to my dealer. I was told the driver side seat belt tensioner has malfunctioned. Dealer states this is also the cause of the pre sense frontal safety system failure. Vehicle now out of warranty. Quoted repair for this safety issue is $1200. I learned this is a commonly known problem, and believe it should be associated with the NHTSA recall 16v955000. My vehicle is not listed on any Audi recalls at this point. The dealer initially texted the repair quote, but the link expired, and the dealer is not interested in putting this in writing again to me. Thus not documents to upload at this point, but will continue to request documentation of the dealer's diagnosis.

Coolant leaking @ 50k miles and also their warning system is not as effective. I got into a fender bender 2 months in owning the car as brand new.
