One problem related to cooling fan has been reported for the 2000 Audi S4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The problem is the safety of the engine cooling fan which is right inside the grille. When the hood is unlatched and you reach in the normal place for the safety release, if the engine is running, the fan slices open the end of your finger. I do not own the car, but have the sliced finger!.
