Power significantly reduced. Clear loss of boost. Eventual complete engine stall. I was fortunate to have been pulling into a parking spot when the engine cut off uncommanded. The car had to be towed to a repair shop. It was later determined the turbos had failed due to a loss of oil supply. The oil supply is cut off due to the singular turbo oil screen being clogged. Regular oil changes are documented at correct intervals. Audi after the middle of my2016 installed a revised turbo oil screen to help prevent this from happening. It is a known fault at Audi and should absolutely be a recall to replace the oil screens with the revised versions. It is a major safety issue when the engine can suddenly stop running at any speed.
2013 S6 with 64k miles suffered turbo failure while driving. The engine stalled while driving and stopped in the roadway. Numerous restarts were attempted before it finally restarted and allowed for a short drive to get off the roadway. This is not an isolated incident and there are numerous similar failures with the Audi 4. 0t engine. Audi is aware of these failures and has issued tsbs that identify the turbo oil supply line filter as the culprit but they have not issued a recall. Had this failure happened on a highway at speed it would have been very dangerous.

Failed turbos causing engine to run rich and stall out at any stops making the car inoperable at low speeds. Many reports of my2013-2016 Audi s series turbos failing/blowing out. TSB issued for such issue but no recall. Audi of America replacing with my2017 turbos that have all new parts numbers since this is a known issue with my2013-2016 turbos.
