The contact owns a 2008 BMW 135i. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact coasted to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle functioned properly, but the failure recurred several times later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and they stated that there was a waste gate leak and some vacuum pumps needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they could not provide assistance because they were under investigation for a possible recall. The failure mileage was 45,000.
