Dear sir/MA'am, I am writing this after an awful incident that I went through today, I am so lucky to be alive with my family. I was driving my 2008 BMW 323i which has 190,000 km on it on a highway when it suddenly started vibrating and went onto almost hitting another trailer truck in front of us. I managed to pull over and took it to the dealership five minutes off the exit. I live in toronto canada, the dealership has seen it and they said I have two broken heads of the bolts that holds the motor engine in place and I would have lost my life if I didn't come to a complete stop. I have been driving this car since 2007 and I have always liked BMW but never after things like this I would recommend or buy anything from BMW. There was a recall but somehow the dealership wants $4000 from me to fix it. I am very disappointed and also I am forwarding a copy of this email to national highway traffic safety administration. Please give me a good answer and make sure this is fixed ASAP.

My 2007 BMW 323i (canadian version of the 328i) caught fire while it was completely stationary in a parking lot last summer. The car was mechanically and cosmetically pristine with no modifications at all other than a set of aftermarket wheels. I owned the car for a couple of years and never had any issues with it and never had to get any major mechanical work done that could have been done wrong and led to this incident. The day the fire happened I got into the car and it started, idled and ran perfectly, as it has since my ownership. I drove it for about 20 minutes then parked it in a crowded parking lot. No electrical devices were plugged into any outlet inside the car and the car was shut off completely. I came outside and my car was completely incinerated. As the abc article states, BMW gave me "the cold shoulder".

My 1999 323i caught fire immedietly after turning off the ignition switch once parked. There was a loud "snap", followed by large flames coming from around the hood and front wheel wells. The police and fire department arrived within 5-7 minutes (fortunately they are both located less than 1 mile away). Once the fire was put out, my car's front 1/2 was melted into my parking space. It was a complete loss and I am expecting that my auto insurance will pay very little; regardless that the car was in very good condition prior to this incident.

Was trying to reverse n it wouldn't it periodically won't reverse until car warms up. Window won't go up without manually pulling it up.
Bought my 2000 BMW 323i brand new, I'm the first and only owner. I have had it only dealer serviced with all records kept. At 67k miles the reverse went out. Dealer told me it was the transmission. Being that it would be in the thousands to fix I continued driving it with no reverse. Meaning I push it. I contacted BMW on several occasions and I was told it was regular wear and tear on the car that caused it. Yet there are thousands of people out there who have reported the same problem on online forums. Shame on BMW for not taking responsibility for this problem.
While driving the vehicle and applied the brakes the engine will suffer a suddenly acceleration. Dealer has inspected the vehicle and could not duplicate or correct the problem. Please provide further information. Ts.
