Front Air Bag Sensor Control problems of the 2005 BMW 325

Tl-the contact owns a 2005 BMW 325i. The contact stated that while driving at 72 mph in cruise control the passenger air bag deployed without any warning. She noticed that the air bag deployed but not to its full expansion. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised her that the crash test sensor had activated itself and their not sure why since she never crashed the vehicle. The vehicle has not been repaired, but the vehicle was still able to be driven with the air bags deployed. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised her that she was not included in any recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000. Tb.
