The ground wire on my break light has burned through the 8 pin connector not only is this limiting my ability to warn other drivers it is a major fire hazard this was discovered during a recall service at the local dealership I do not believe. The proper steps have been taken to remedy this problem and if this can not be resolved informally I would like to pursue formal litigation against all parties involved and for discovery purpose all related correspondence, video, and recorded evidence should be preserved. Currently the break light is not working and there are defective and hazardous airbags.

I was traveling to a local store. My car suddenly jerked,radio turned off while lights on dash flickered on and off. I lost power temporarily and I began smelling wires. I also notice a �pop� as I attempted to pull over and notice no brake operations so I had to coast to a stop with my 2 year old in the backseat. I started my flashers and turn off car to search for smell. It seems like dash but I didn't see any smoke. I get back in car and attempt to start it and nothing! I still have power so I was confused, I check trunk ultimately and remove battery cover and this is what I found! this is a safety issue and very dangerous. I got the car towed home and won't drive until it is repaired obviously. I am upset but even happier me and my kid made it home safely, something keeps telling me today was a blessing we made it.

Ever since I've had the car I have had overheating problems after replacing the water pump all the hoses hvac hoses under the manifold the car still wants to overheat I've been in traffic I've had this problem having a I'm cars behind me and my temperature gauge going to age and I can't crank the car because I don't want to ruin the motor I've had to let the car cool be late for jobs work and other things appointments are the car cool down and I've had to add coolant in it at $20 a piece by the coolant runs right back out.

Takata recall: I am currently in communication with state farm agent, terry wood [(434) 872-2813]. She has assured me that an investigation is underway at this time. We are stating that my BMW¿s side airbags suddenly deployed and unexpectedly causing me to lose power steering and braking ability. As I approached and entered a right turn lane in an street intersection located in stockton, California, my passenger side airbags suddenly deployed. Startled, I tried to pull over to the side of the road, but, with the loss of power steering, I was not able to safely control the vehicle. After making contact with the curb, I had to use all my strength to correct from it and try to make the upcoming right turn, but without power steering, I was not able to make the turn sharp enough leading me to make a wide turn into the oncoming lane. And without the ability to brake properly and safely, there was no way to avoid the impact. Additionally, the main area of the car with all the damage (driver¿s front) failed to deploy the appropriate airbag. Terry wood is my point of contact with this investigation. We hope to have BMW take some (if not, all) blame in the incident due to faulty airbags and/or unexpected deployment of airbags.

On three different occasions the brakes were used to slow down and/or stop and afterwards they continued to be engaged while stepping on the accelerator. One time the brakes were smoking. After turning the vehicle off and restarting the vehicle the problem went away. Took the vehicle to a BMW dealership who said that they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle or the brakes. After the last time, I could feel the heat on the front left wheel where as all the other wheels were not as hot.

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 325i. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 mph, the abs warning indicator illuminated and the brakes engaged independently. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the abs brake module pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 02/19/2014 on a dry day,while driving in the center lane on I-4 around lakeland-FL, with 70mph a fedex vehicle's right rear tire blew off in front of me. I hit the brakes to avoid collision. Abs did not work and my brakes locked, my car has started spinning (3-4 times). My car went from the middle lane to the left lane then to the most right lane and off the road. Luckily I did not hit any other vehicles or the metal/concrete barriers while spinning out of the road. After the incident,while driving I have noticed a lymping at slow speed and high vibration at higher speeds. All 4 tires were damaged . 3 warning lights appeared on the dashboard: dsc + abs + brake(red color). On 02/22 I took my vehicle to my mechanic. All 4 tires were found were because of the braking. The diagnostcis tool read: 5df5 - control unit internal failure. I needed 4 new tires and my tires had 9/32 thread depth and were almost new. On Sunday - 02/23/2014 - I took in my vehicle for the tires. The tire shop declined to replace the tires under warranty because they were damaged by braking. They were nice enough to give me a discount and replaced the tires for $350. Teves dsc mk60 has been a problem not only in Bmws but other brands such as vw and Audi. Just google it. If you are lucky the issue surfaces itself while the vehicle is under warrantyif not, the abs pump unit is over $2300+labor and dsc module is over $1100+labor. I already spent $500 for the tires and brake flush. I have to pay one of the above prices to get my abs fixed. I did not have any warning lights before my abs (if dsc does not work abs does not work) failed. The lights came on for a few days and now they are not on this is very dangerous and needs to be investigated by NHTSA and fixed by BMW USA with a recall. I could have killed myself or hurt/kill other innocent people on that highway. Abs/dsc are very important safety components.

My passager break light out of the blue started not working as I took it in the dealship they said a socket connector that invovles the wires have been cruputed and burt out. This is a serious harazrd while out on the roads,I have seen many other post about that are having the same issues and im unaware of any recalls about this is issues. This is a issues that needs to have some attention.

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 325xi. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road. Upon restarting it, the vehicle responded normally. The failure occurred four times intermittently. In addition, the abs, dsc and awd warning indicators illuminated sporadically on the instrument panel. The failure was not diagnosed nor was the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

A friend was following me home and nearly ran in back of me because she said I didn't brake , I told her I did , but a warning light came on in my car, so I went to purchase more bulbs, the bulb worked for a couple of hours, then the warning light came back on, then days later the other one , I took to mechanic, he found that a part in the housing had burned all the way down, and that I should check on recalls, because it's no fault of mine. . . I checked recalls and found that there were problems with the housing that houses the brake and signal lights, beginning with 2002. . . My car is a 325i 2001, I feel that this year should be included in the current recall, I researched online, and found that I am not the only one with a 2001 Bmw325i with the same problem as the current recall. . . This could definitely cause an accident, with the housing working one minute and out the next , really think this should be included immediately. . . I was pulled over by an officer stating I didn't signal, but I did, the signal worked in car, but didn't outside . . .

Increased road noise and vibration effecting the steering.

The contact owns a 2001 BMW 325i. When the contact attempted to accelerate, the vehicle automatically began to brake. The travel speed was not a factor. The dsc/adb lights (automatic differential braking) were the only warning indicators. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact has since turned off the dsc/adb lights. The engine size, purchase date, and correct VIN were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 46,000.

Vehicle has feature called soft stop which tries to smooth out the braking and keeps the vehicle from jerking at the while braking to a full stop. Dealer in honolulu said that it took pressure off the rear brakes. When the vehicle was coming to a stop it would stop once then travel a foot farther then stopping again. Consumer stated that it was the soft stop feature that caused this malfunction. The consumer was traveling in vehicle yesterday when a vehicle in front of him stopped quickly and he was forced to stop quickly, when consumer's vehicle stopped it went another foot forward and stopped again just inches from the other vehicle in front of him. Consumer has contacted manufacturer, and they have not helped him with problem. BMW 325i, e90 2006. Vehicle has less than 300 miles.
