2 Tire Sidewall problem of the 2007 BMW 325

Failure Date: 12/21/2017

This complaint is for the primewell pz -900 225/40 zr18 92 w xl. On 21dec17, while driving the tire suddenly loss air at around 70 mph. I was able to gain control of the car but it took a while to get to safe area to pull over due to morning hour commute traffic and speeds involved. I was unable to locate a hole or nail but after removing the wheel, I found a 2 inch crack located on the inner sidewall of the tire. A local tire shop warned me about a primewell tire recall in 2017. After online research , the same location of the crack and what happen to me while driving is the same as valera touring ii sidewall problems that led to a recall. I have not changed the tire and have photos. All primewell tires need to be checked before someone gets killed, this is not isolated to one model.

Failure Date: 06/30/2004

My husband has 2 sets of tires one for summer and one for winter. The summer tires are the ones with the defect. The tires have only been used for 2 summers and the car is not driven a lot. The tires still have about 60% thread on them. Recently we noticed that the tires are bubbled on the inside and previously one cracked. I don't know what to do. I feel like the tires should still be good for another 2 years, but with the bubbles I'm afraid they'll blow up. The tires are dunlop w10 18" 235/4018. Please help, I've looked on their website and there is not contact. The store where we purchase them is closed.

Driving on interstate-95 in new york I felt a vibration start in the back of the car which grew very quickly. I pulled over to find the right rear tire flat. I found the tire had a slit in the side wall half way around the tire with a gap between the tread and the body core of the tire. It appears that the tread started to separate form the tire.
