Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2000 BMW 328

Two problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 2000 BMW 328. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/29/2017

The contact owned a 2000 BMW 328i. While driving 65 mph, the contact's vehicle crashed into a wall to avoid being struck by another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the neck and back, which did not require medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2010

Air bag light stays on. As per the BMW dealership, sensor under the passenger seat is faulty and it will cost $800/- to fix it. In the event of an accident, air bag will not deploy unless the issue is resolved. This poses a significant safety issue.
