Manual Transmission problems of the 2011 BMW 328

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 328xi. The contact stated it was very easy to shift into first gear, from reverse, due to the way the gear shifter was manufactured. The failure also occurred when shifting into reverse, from first gear. The contact also stated that first gear and reverse were positioned very close to each other on the gear shifter, making it very easy to slip into the wrong gear. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 5 and the current mileage was 6,000.
