The contact stated that while driving on the highway at approximately 65 mph, all of a sudden there vehicles engine began to deaccelerate the vehicle, and a message displayed on the dashboard stating "engine hot, please stop driving" the contact proceeded to pull over onto the side of the highway, where he waited an hour for the engine to cool down, before he was able to start his vehicle again. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was advised that no codes were displayed, and that the contact would have to take their vehicle to a local dealer. The contact proceeded to take their vehicle to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed again, and the contact was informed again that noting was found to be wrong with their vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believes that NHTSA campaign number 24v608000 ( engine and engine cooling, electrical system)  is of probable cause for the failure experienced.
