The contact owns a 2014 BMW 328d equipped with nexen tires, tire line: winguard sport 2, tire size: 225/50/r17, dot number 8ejrhmel2519. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the instrument panel alerted him that the rear driver side tire had began to rapidly loose air. The contact pulled over and discovered that the tire was nearly flat and that the tread had separated from the tire. The contact managed to slowly drive the vehicle home and where he replace all four tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was approximately 20,000. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
