In snowy conditions the anti-lockbrakes failed, causing vehicle to skid. The tires had 1/2 tread life. The dealer blamed the tires. (tire, anti-lock brakes, and or awd was the problem).
The contact owns a 2001 BMW 330i. The contact stated that while attempting to pull into the contact driveway, the contact attempted to engage the brake pedal and the accelerator was inadvertently applied, and the contact also stated that the engine revved up when engaging the brake pedal with no warning lights illuminated. The contact had to shift the vehicle into park to stop the vehicle, and the contact also engaged the emergency brake after the vehicle was stopped. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 188,000.
The rotors were replaced 3 times within 1 year.
