Two problems related to engine have been reported for the 2002 BMW 330. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2002 BMW 330cic. Consumer states vehicle gears do not always shift down when needing to stop, often causing the vehicle to lurch forward and continue at the same speed. The dealer determined the problem was a defective vanos unit which controlled the camshaft and is part of the engine.
While driving, the vehicle lost power. Theconsumer managed to pull over and had the vehicle towed to the dealer, but the problem was not resolved.
