Service Brakes Problems of BMW 330

The contact stated that while attempting to pull into the contact driveway, the contact attempted to engage the brake pedal and the accelerator was inadvertently applied, and the contact also stated that the engine revved up when engaging the brake pedal with no warning lights illuminated. The contact had to shift the vehicle into park to stop the vehicle, and the contact also engaged the emergency brake after the vehicle was stopped. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 188,000.

The contact owns a 2019 BMW 330i. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and there was an abnormal sound. The contact stated that while the brake pedal was depressed, the brakes failed to engage as designed. No warning light was illuminated; however, the "electronic stability control system malfunctioning" message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Going into a parking spot. Applied brakes, then the car did not brake, then it accelerated hitting a Jeep and finally stopped when the driver side front hit a parking barrier and then the air bags deployed. Sudden unintended acceleration was the cause of this accident. Car was totaled.

There is a well known issue with the clip on BMW 3 series (mine is a 2017 330i) that holds the parking brake cable assembly to the body if the car above the drive shaft towards the rear of the car. The plastic clips fail frequently, causing the parking brake cable assembly to fall and the brake lines rub against the driveshaft creating a metal-to-metal noise. Over time the friction between the drive shaft and parking brake cable will eventually create failure of the cable in my opinion. I have this issue and I have seen several online videos of others who have the same issue.

While backing out of a short driveway and placed t to drive, the vehicle revved and started speeding out of control with brakes applied. The vehicle sideswiped a neighbors vehicle before crashing head on into a tree causing it to stop. I had jerked up the emergency brake and ripped the key out of the ignition. The replaced airbags did not deploy.

My BMW 330xi 2018 wagon recently passed 40000 miles. My wife heard a rubbing noise when braking a few days ago. We took car into a repair shop and they found the rear brake pads were worn down to the metal. At no time did a brake wear warning light ever alert us to this!.

On or around the first week of Dec. 2020 after filling up with gas, the car just stopped while in motion without any prior dash warning indicators. I placed the car in park and restarted the car on the first try. At that time I thought it may have been bad gas. Fast forward to Jan. 09, 2021 while pulling up to gas station car accelerates while I am applying brakes. Very scary because I could have killed someone. I put the car in park and it revved up as though my foot was on the accelerator. This has started to happen on a regular basis, although. Intermittently. Researching this issue I found this has been discussed in several BMW forums since 2002 and appears to happen in older and newer cars regardless of model types. I have maybe 165,000 miles on my car and the maintenance is very well documented and consistent.

The contact owns a 2003 BMW 330i. The contact stated that the brakes seized and the steering wheel became difficult to turn then the eml warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the fuel pump fractured. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 83,000.

Mbw 330ci 2005: on 3/22/10, @ 3pm pacific, my brake response went from "good stop" to "unsafe, bad, "cruise-to-stop". I've had my car into irvine BMW 5 times since then, and "nothing wrong" could be found. I contacted BMW n. A. About ongoing problem, when I read about the "recall" just now reported, on the 5 & 7 series cars. The "problem described" as the reason for that recall, is what I've complained to BMW since 3/30/10! my "complaint' to them, and this week, BMW na, was described to them each time I visited, and on my Bmwna call this week, as the same problem as was the cause of the recall on the 5 & 7 series, and I'd complained of this braking problem since 3/30/10, and that it occurred around 3pm on 3/22/10! two "body shops"---to which I went for a fender repair quote--were aware of my concern, and an employee at the first one checked my brake fluid. It was not low. My 2005, 330ci brakes were trustworthy, and stopped immediately. As of 3/22/10 @ 3pm, I have to depress the brake pedal down 3+ " further, to get stopped, then it's a "cruise to a stop", not a "stop". BMW cannot find anything wrong. I'm concerned about my life, and am afraid to drive on freeways here (the only way to get from a to b). I haven't had to worry about freeways, since my car stays parked, and when I drive it, it's to the dr. And back. I have 17k miles on it, no more. I would like to feel safe in my car, and the brakes work properly, but since 3/22/10, when the "lack of response" occurred, I don't feel safe. Find the problem, and help me get it fixed. Unresponsive brakes there has been no accident re the brake responsiveness on my car yet.

Car pulls severely to the left or right when brakes are applied. I have had the car serviced and asked for an alignment several times because of this issue. I was told that no alignment was needed but no explanation as to why the car pulled was given.
